I've added some small changes to WinSendKeys, so the -v commandline parameter can be set from the (optional) ini file, and updated the documentation with all settings that can be configured in the ini file.

Release is available at the first message in this thread, so, tada:

@Chris and all interested,

I've added some scripting facilities to the [-f strokesfile] feature, so it's now technically possible  to implement your request.
Using such script (an example is included) you can:
- Wait for a window (or title, or exename) to open (--winwait <windowname> [timeout])
- Wait for a window (idem) to close, both with a timeout (--winclose <windowname> [timeout])
- On timeout of the above, either quit or goto a labeled line in the script (--error quit and --error goto <label>)
- Jump to a specific label in the script (--goto <label>)
- Call a subroutine with optional parameters (--gosub <label> [parameter text])
- Return from the subroutine (--return)
- Quit the script (--quit)
- Display a message with optional timeout and parameters support (--msg [timeout,]message text [$params$])

But the difficult part of your request is to interact with the user, Windows and it's applications to determine what to send when and where, and what to wait for, to get the desired 'workflow'.
At least the techy-geek baseline is here :)

It's a lot of Java based, multi-platform, software that uses these 'prefixes' for configuration files, that are hidden by default on *nix OS's. Maven is the one that comes to mind immediately; have a look in your C:\Users\<username> directory. Being a developer, you'll likely find a few .-prefixed files there. And others create even .-prefixed directories holding even more user-specific stuff, I found .netbeans, .eclipse, .virtualbox, .google, to name just a few.

General consensus is to not use them for common user-files. And Windows Explorer really hates them anyway.

This has been weird capturing a scrolled image from FireFox ever since FF 4 came out. And 5, 6 or 7 haven't improved on it. IMHO it's FF's fault :(

Chris,

This feels more like something to pick up in the WinSendKeys thread, I'm quite sure (most of) it can be taken care of.

I just set up a VirtualBox (4.1.2 with extension pack) with Windows 7 x64 and configured 4 monitors. The Windows Update was crap, as usual on a pre-SP1 install, but I've got 4 screens that I can put stuff on.

Specialties:
  • Choose ICH9 chipset where applicable
  • Set video memory to 128 MB (max)
  • Enabled all video hardware acceleration options available (2D Video and 3D)
  • Installed the VBox Guest extensions stuff (not yet with the 3D drivers, needs safe mode apparently)
  • Enabled the extra monitors, like skwire did

Maybe I'll try to break it by setting up the DisplayLink drivers for the MIMO touch-screen 8)

Have you configured WinSendKeys? The path is probably different.
Yes, I managed to get the right path. That's one out of ten so far, I believe.
Nice job on those templates

Simplest would be to *only* configure the path to WinSendKeys in WinButtons.wbuc (or WinButtons.ini if you have only that), as all other templates fall back to the setting stored there. And yes, that's a feature 8)

@Cranioscopical: You'd better update your WinSendKeys, it's an outdated version that had this 'additional info' feature :D

Anything you guys would like to know?

Yeah, do the Samsung and/or Asus feel as 'fluent' as the iPad, in normal use?

Did some work on the Borderless button with split captions. They can be forcibly wrapped using a @LF@ macro at the desired position(s). That's another feature request of nudone fulfilled  8)

Next update will be for WBE getting a better configuration of all Image parameters (7 comma separated values is a bit cumbersome)

Here's an update release of:
and

Download available from the release message, linking to my DCMembers pages.

Updates can be downloaded also from the WinButtonEdit File/Check for updates option, using DCUpdater when installed.

I'll also be doing more testing in the next couple of days.

Any feedback is still welcome, as usual :)

Hm, any good system that stores a password, only stores a hash of it, that can't be reverted, just the calculation repeated with the correct password delivering the same hash.
So it would be nearly impossible to revert that, without a brute force attack, and even that could take from hours to more than a lifetime :o

« Last post by Ath on September 26, 2011, 01:26 PM »
Why is it that people say Android is for Geeks?
IMHO, it's more that Android is also for geeks. The iPhone 4 my employer forced into my hands, feels is much more closed than the Android I've been carrying around for more than 1 year now. But that one I choose myself because of the opportunities the platform offers... And ofcourse I think of myself being a technical/geek user :D

Sometimes this can also be achieved by opening a CMD prompt, and selecting the file/directory using the <tab> AutoComplete feature of the shell (using the 'del' or 'rd'/'rmdir' commands).

Using a Linux "live" CD has the advantage that there is surely no file-in-use issue. It requires such iso image to be downloaded and baked onto a CD though
2672
The download failing has been reported in their issue tracker on 9/9, and I get the impression that nobody even looked at it >:(
2673
Maybe the MIMO only works with color and I keep using colour.  ;D
So we'll have to relocate to the US of A (or at least North America) to get it working properly; hey, cranioscopical, we might become neighbors ;D ;D
2674
with the colours

I kinda love it how we keep mixing the use of the US and UK version of color and colour ;D
2675
as the shorter things I tried didn't work
That's because of the Command separation character being a '^' by default
