I don't know also

no, no, Contro, there never was a credit crunch at all (except in a few countries in the southern Europe, of course)!-Curt (August 28, 2013, 10:20 AM)
Not sure whether this might be of use:MS Word 2013 seems to be able to convert PDFs to a Word doc, and then lets you get on and edit it as such...
I haven't used it other than to see if it works. Seems to be pretty good - and fast. Tried it on a PDF with several images in. The Word doc file size seems to be a good deal bigger than its source PDF file size though.-IainB (August 10, 2013, 10:00 AM)-IainB (August 28, 2013, 02:44 AM)
ExamDiff Pro, $34.99. The free version doesn't offer what you want. A possible drawback of ExamDiff Pro is that it uses plug-ins to convert Word files and PDFs to text before comparing them (I don't know how Compare It! or Beyond Compare work). If you are trying to compare a Word DOC with a PDF, this may mean that what is in fact the same text isn't well enough aligned to make the difference checking engine work sensibly. In that case, you might try printing your Word DOC to a PDF and comparing the two PDFs.-rjbull (August 27, 2013, 03:34 PM)
I use Beyond Compare http://www.scootersoftware.com/, for last few years and am satisfied.
Similar in price, and you can check the 30 days demo, if it works.

Have you tried any of the sticky notes programs? Some of them can attach to other windows, and can be set to be semi-transparent.
Examples:
- Stickies
by Zhorn Software - the most famous freeware one, mentioned on DC before- Magic Notes
payware, the one I use- Notezilla
payware, also often mentioned on DC- TurboNote+
free and payware versions-rjbull (August 25, 2013, 04:08 PM)

your are right, but perhaps you may excuse my error-Contro (August 18, 2013, 12:10 PM)
But you can't memorise everything (especially as you get older). So why not offline some of your memory, and start by searching DC? Or use Google, or DuckDuckGo, either of which might well turn up a DC thread anyway?-rjbull (August 18, 2013, 04:00 PM)
I tried PTFB today, but it was a little bumpy and didn't take care of the screen I wanted it to.Which version, free, which is getting old now, or latest payware? As I discovered PTFB first, I've never used ClickOff, but it's hard to argue with the price... RtvReco's been briefly mentioned on DC a few times before.-TaoPhoenix (August 17, 2013, 11:30 PM)
Another suggestion: PowerPro, which can do this sort of thing amongst much else, if you can work out how.
@Contro:
Did you forget you already talked about ClickOff in Program to control program?-rjbull (August 18, 2013, 11:43 AM)

I just un-installed the offending program that I had procrastinated doing.-TaoPhoenix (August 17, 2013, 11:30 PM)
I too was going to suggest ClickOff and PTFB, but a TV program intervenedLast free version of PTFB is also here: http://www.321downlo...Freeware/page29.html
Latest payware version is here: http://www.ptfbpro.com/
Or, some people like RtvReco, but that's payware only.-rjbull (August 17, 2013, 02:32 PM)
There is also the freeware version of PTFB (Push the Freakin' Button): http://www.majorgeek...eakin_button%29.html-skwire (August 17, 2013, 02:29 PM)
