I am shocked - shocked I say! - to see that there appear to be no previous threads on the whole "hyperlapse" thing (according to the Search at least). This is a variation of timelapse where the camera actually moves *large* distances (as opposed to the small dolly shots of most timelapse) while maintaining (relatively) smooth motion, creating an amazing combination of realistic and surreal imagery and motion. It really just has to be seen to be appreciated. This is an excellent introduction to what can be achieved:

That vimeo video is really incredible. I'd be curious how difficult it was to get it to look like that, and what kind of equipment was used. Looks amazing.-superboyac (May 18, 2015, 09:22 AM)
I came across this description:I had to import and customize the NEF files before Ifrom this video -
equalized them with the great LR-TIMELAPSE from Gunther Wegner. (http://www.lrtimelapse.com/)
(Adobe Lightroom is necessary)
The observed jpeg had then to be droped into virtual dub and were rendered as avi.
When this was done, I had to stabilize the sequences manually frame by frame (AE motion tracker) and rendered each of them in 3 different sizes: (4928x3264 pixels, 1920x1080 pixels, 1024x768 pixels)
Last but not least the snippets were edited fitting to the beautiful title "Diving Through The Blue" by the respectable composer and musician Valentin Boomes.

Tbh I dont understand half of that description - but it does sound like a lot of work. Surprised the stabilizing has to be done manually. Also not sure what exactly the LR-Timelapse software does.
They seem to generally use full-frame cameras - I guess if you're going to put all that work in, you may as well start with a quality image.-tomos (June 18, 2015, 04:13 AM)

How to use the above code?
0. Disable User Access control [temporarily] - Once this task of deleting files / folders is completed,
you may want to re-enable User Access Control. To disable UAC,
go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control on or off ; then uncheck the
option "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" and click OK. Then restart the computer.
1. Copy/paste the code to Notepad
2. Save the file with the file name as: DeleteFiles.bat to C:\ drive [any location is ok - you need
to go to the relevant location using the command line in step: 4]
Note that the 'Save as type' should be selected as "All Files (*.*)" before you click the Save button.
3. Go to Command prompt
4. Type CD \ to go to C:\
5. Type DeleteFiles foldername and then press Enter key
By default, the folder name is C:\Windows.old.
If the Windows.old folder resides in D:\ [or a different drive], then enter the drive letter accordingly
along with the folder name.
6. Then you will notice a lot of operation in the command window and the script will end with
"Exiting..." . Press any key to exit the script.
Then you will find Windows.old folder is completely removed - Note that with this method the
contents of Windows.old folder will not won't be sent to the Recycle bin.
DeleteFiles.bat can be run without supplying the folder name also - in that scenario, it will
consider Windows.old folder present in the current drive from which you run the batch file

are you using that with any kind of two-factor authentication?
Edit// I took the liberty of changing the thread title to "LastPass alternatives with two-factor authentication? (including premium LP)"-tomos (August 25, 2015, 02:46 PM)
No. But as no user data is stored on their server (which is only used to sync between devices) would it be all that necessary? The data is encrypted by your device and remains on your device(s) so I don't see where some man-in-the-middle attempt would make any difference. All data is encrypyed and local. You wouldn't even need to decrypt in order to synchronize. It would be a little more work for the local clients - but EnPass wouldn't need to worry or know about any of the the actual data.
Am I missing something?-40hz (August 25, 2015, 04:29 PM)

We previously explored Play Service's update implications, but it is a huge weapon in the fight against Android forks. Play Services is a closed source app owned by Google and licensed as part of the Google Apps package. Any feature you see move from "normal" Android to Google Play Services is also moving from open source to closed source. This app pulls off the neat trick of not only enticing users with exclusive, closed source features, but locking in third-party developers with Google's proprietary APIs as well.
Taking the Android app ecosystem from Google seems easy: just get your own app store up and running, convince developers to upload their apps to it, and you're on your way. But the Google APIs that ship with Play Services are out to stop this by convincing developers to weave dependence on Google into their apps. Google's strategy with Google Play Services is to turn the "Android App Ecosystem" into the "Google Play Ecosystem" by making a developer's life as easy as possible on a Google-approved device—and as difficult as possible on a non-Google-approved device.
If you use any Google APIs and try to run your app on a Kindle, or any other non-Google version of AOSP: surprise! Your app is broken. Google's Android is a very high percentage of the Android market, and developers only really care about making their app easily, making it work well, and reaching a wide audience. Google APIs accomplish all that, with the side effect that your app is now dependent on the device having a Google Apps license.
