I just found another small tool named pyExifToolGUI
I need to check it out.
At first sight:
-the window can not be resized
-a little too few details are displayed at the same time, i.e. one needs to scroll up and down a lot (because of using grid lines I suppose)
-in case of loading a folder, then the maximum thumbnails displayed is 10

| Irish People Asked To Explain What They Mean By “Sure You Know Yourself” May 31, 2016 - BREAKING NEWS THE time when an Irish person could both simultaneously dodge a question and answer it may be coming to a close, as an international court ruling has demanded an explanation for the expression “sure you know yourself”. For decades, people from all across Ireland have skillfully steered conversations to their liking by simply responding to any question or query with the catch-all phrase. [..] However, overuse of the phrase in recent times has led to a UN ruling that either the statement be explained in full, or struck from use altogether. [..] The Irish government is to fight the ruling, stating that it is every Irish citizen’s right to be able to tell you to mind your own f*cking business without sounding rude. |
It's often said tots spend more time playing with the wrapping than the present itself. When Martin mentioned this on his TV show, he was inundated with people tweeting and emailing photos of their young children having great fun with cardboard boxes they'd been given for Christmas. See Martin's blog for the pics.-Jazmyn40 (June 03, 2016, 05:03 AM)

sort of like the opposite of zen:
promoting lack of awareness all over the world

But what if Zen's complete awareness is simply a total immersion in - and therefore a mastery of - the game??-Stoic Joker (June 02, 2016, 07:01 AM)

@tomos: Sorry, I think I must have posted that a bit too late to be of use. It seemed to be still on offer when I made the post, and I couldn't see when it was due to finish. (Was in a bit of a hurry.)-IainB (May 30, 2016, 02:48 PM)

Do you know what it is running when svchost hogs the core? Svchost is basically a loader to load and run a service. When some service hogs the machine, like Windows Media Player scouring all your files looking for media files to share, it can show up as svchost.exe or as explorer opening and closing every file on the system.
Next time it hogs resources see which service is associated in task manager.-MilesAhead (May 29, 2016, 02:23 PM)
Is there the possibility of restoring via a backup image to a state when the problem was in abeyance?-MilesAhead (May 29, 2016, 01:30 PM)
You didn't mention it, so I "have to" ask: Can't a 'phone home' process be avoided, simply by unplugging the machine, before installing?-Curt (May 29, 2016, 12:55 PM)
i.e. now currently on two unrelated machines.
