If you're not allowed to run un-authorized executables, then don't expect to be allowed to run scripts or script-like languages!

You'd better have the applications you want to use validated and authorized by your IT department, so you can run them like you are used to.

My first and last program.
Would you mind publishing/including the source too?

Congrats to kyrathaba! Tried to capture your achievement when I saw 1999, but you posted twice before I could capture 2000

But I caught app103 hitting 4500:

(Captured it on a tablet. It took a few hours before I was back at a PC to crop the image)

Rsync?

So a wall of shame, with a specific downvote on Google searches if found there? That surely would need cooperation from Google then

Ah, didn't realise that Phil...Will get it to save that info within the app. (In the next update) :)

No you shouldn't, unless you need/want/install RegaLink to be portable, only then it should save settings in the current directory.

This is the thread marked [NSFW/adult]: If you're easily offended, then don't have a look here :tellme:

Please leave it as it is, it's funny... in a way  ;)

Did you use it (or even see it)?

Yup, someone already did

That looks just like a pop-up I saw on some websites (can't recall where/when, but quite recent), that shows when the mouse is hovered over that area.

  • Drag&drop URL and add to list
Is there anybody that will actually need this, when the above feature is already active?
-Stephen66515 (March 24, 2013, 12:32 PM)
Other applications allow drag&drop of URL's, but you won't be able to grab those, as it's usually partial text. Add from clipboard could do as well, I think.
  • Show URL-list in UI
    It does that already o.0
-Stephen66515 (March 24, 2013, 12:32 PM)
Hm, must be something with my eyes, age went 50+ last week :-[, or it's the non-standard grey background that fooled me
  • Drag out/del to remove from list
    Can add this
-Stephen66515 (March 24, 2013, 12:32 PM)
Nice
  • Select browser to send URL's to
Simple Enough :) - Will probably have to get the user to define the executable paths for each though.
-Stephen66515 (March 24, 2013, 12:32 PM)
Should be fine, most browsers have standard install-paths so you should be able to pre-detect and suggest these
1716
Yep (just re-tested), when started from the installer, when started from the Start menu. Every time the installer 'asks' it to quit, it just stops responding. Doesn't make a diff if I open SSC first, then close again.
If I leave the main window of SSC open, that window does close, but the rest of SSC doesn't go away .
1717
Simple, I leave SSC running but hidden in the tray, download the latest beta, run that, then it complaints I need to end it before it can be updated. Try to close it by right-clicking the tray icon but that doesn't respond, so I terminate ssc using processexplorer. Then the installer can continue.
I'm on Win7, x64.
1718
The last 2 or 3 releases no longer quit automatically when running the installer for an update. Something got probably messed up in the shutdown-code. Also the System-tray menu is not responding when I then try to activate it to shutdown SSC. CPU-usage is ~0% so it's not in an endless loop, I assume. Most likely these issues have something related.

Nice :)

A few feature requests:
  • Grab current URL from browser(s) and add to list
  • Drag&drop URL and add to list
  • Show URL-list in UI
  • Drag out/del to remove from list
  • Select browser to send URL's to

Living Room / Re: Advice needed re: locking windows kernel in RAM
« Last post by Ath on March 18, 2013, 03:55 PM »
Sounds like good advice......., about 10 15+ years ago.

Who doesn't have enough RAM to avoid these kinda mumbo-jumbo, these days?
And forcing the kernel into RAM on a low memory system, so it's even more busy swapping the currently active application in and out of memory, instead of some kernel code you're not using (much) at the moment?
1721
The list of new and improved is vast, so a bump to 4.0 is quite valid.
1722
(see attachment in previous post)
This could have equally well gone in the Developer's Section ;D
1723
Ah, busy system, yeah, an extra delay helps a lot then. Great it got resolved.

I've been thinking about that gui, but I'm not quite fluent in AHK, so lets wait a little first :tellme:

General Software Discussion / Re: How to detect parent .EXE from tray icon?
« Last post by Ath on March 17, 2013, 03:26 AM »
I'd try and find the cause of the apps/services not loading, before I'd find an alternative to the systemtray. Could my NANY2013 entry KeepUpApp be of help? It check to see if an app or service isn't running, and (re)starts it when needed.

last week WebDrive decided that it would redownload EVERY file EVERY time it connects
Is this something to do with DST that changed last weekend in the Northern America's?
