Living Room / Re: Restating Godwin's Law
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 25, 2008, 06:30 AM »
Ironically I've been thinking of posting about SQLNotes in the "Favourite File Manager" thread and probably will cause I use it as such now in conjunction with Dopus. But at least that's on topic then...
offtopic: Now you've got me curious.. I never though it'd be possible to use a note-taking app for file managing.. i'll read that post :P

*cough* Cue flame war *cough* ;D
Very good warning. Let's not get into that ;)

artistic abilities are not included :-)
Yes, unfortunatelly! I wonder when will they come with one that does include artistic abilities! And open source too, please ;)

Well, there's safari for windows (which is made by apple, so i suppose it fits your requirements).
Wouldn't office 2007 fit the bill too? (i look like i'm thowing stuff at random, right?)
I think windows live messenger would fit this too, i haven't ever seen anyone who can't use it.
How about windows media player 11?

While i'm not a user nor supporter of SQLNotes, from what i've noticed, it has come in good faith as a solution for people's problems in other threads.

There are quite a few fans of SQLNotes around here, so i suppose it's normal for it to come up everytime q request/thread fits its use.

While i haven't found it to be anoying, you are probably right about the how-to part.

FARR Plugins and Aliases / Re: New FARR Plugin: FCalc

Hi csludwig!
Possibly during the recent DC downtime something was left behind on the server migration, this isn't normal.

I'm sure mouser will fix it in no time.

PS: looks like all of mouser's addons are 404'ed ;)

Oh man... If you've played this game, you definitelly have to see one of those videos!
I find it incredible how far i was from the end :)
There are some VERY crazy questions towards the end!

I also agree with renegade. It's fun up to some point. From then on, there are answers hidden in stupid places. I was wrong, i was at 66, the armaggedon one.
It's just stupid that the answer is hidden in an exclamation mark and you only have 10 seconds to select it. That's where i gave up.

check the author's name, on the box below :P

Some are just bizarre:
 (see attachment in previous post)
I skipped for that one. Everything I clicked got me killed.
Man, i hate that one, it has a zillion places to click.
answer inside
click the duck's head (afro) ;)

It's good fun, even though i'm getting tired of restarting. I'm now up to 70-something (just lost and forgot where i was :) )

Oh man, someone reported that through mail too.
I wonder why this is happening, apparently it's 7zip's fault.

Do you have a recent version of winzip or winrar?
I have a recent winrar, and a recent Alzip, and both work perfectly.

My favourite was 17:

These guys really do have a sense of humour.
I'm wondering how big the game is, now :)

Someone just reported the following:
the file is resulted Trojan by "antivir personnal" antivirus
About the file mouser posted above.

Obviously, that's antivir being idiot, since mouser only compiled the script skrommel posted.
Unfortunatelly, it's becoming quite frequent for antivirus programs to flag ahk scripts as viruses :(

i think he wants Sheer Novelty to upgrade to Vista as the copy speed feature is available in Vista's explorer. :)
Yeah, that's probably it.
But i have one doubt: does it display the copy speed for all copy operations or only when it is from/to a network disk?

General Software Discussion / Re: Inkscape
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 20, 2008, 06:35 AM »
I've used previous versions of inkscape, and found it to be very good and easy to work with (once you go through the tutorials, of course).

I hope they won't stop developing it for windows :(
1491
Oh, that's simple.
On GridMoveP1.ahk, check line 542:
  Gui, Font, s15 cRed, Tahoma
On that line, change 15 to something larger :)

It doesnt seem to like DC very much.  :P
Maybe they decided not to index the best forums on the web because those already have a great search engine of their own :)
1493
Oh, Set Title Size is to change the size of the hitbox for the left button drag method.
Currently, there isn't any way to change the size of the grid numbers, other than editing the source code of gridmove...
1495
Maybe you should take a look at mouser's FARR. Lost of people use it for searching for files because it's very fast.
It still doesn't index the email, but maybe someday someone will make a plugin for your email program :)
1496
I think you could to with an alternative file explorer.
An example would be xyplorer, which does not index and can preview all the stuff you mentioned. (at least, i think so :) )

edit: oops, i didn't read your post correctly. xyplorer can only search files, not emails or contacts :(

I suppose iTunesExport should be able to do it. Just add it to the sendTo menu, and then select the files and drop them on to it.

PS: i haven't tested it

Skrommel's Software / Re: winlock & virus
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 13, 2008, 07:55 PM »
well i read replies here & tried to download again & this time got no warnings . Thus something has changed.
Maybe your antivirus was updated or something like that?
I don't think winlock's binary was updated.
