looks nice, i wonder if there is non-install version available? couldn't find on the website. btw, adding a char count would be helpful with twitter's 140 char limit. :)

most file-managers would have this covered but for a single-purpose tool, i second ewemoa's suggestion.

btw, mouser did a comprehensive review for compare tools some time back. do take a look.

@jnulu: glad to be of help. :) so what was the bookmarks file's name?

My little head is configured in such a way that I refuse to purchase this F-PROT, for the simple reason that I can only pay for five licenses! No, don't tell me that I get five licenses for the price of one; I only need one, but I cannot have only one; for some weird reason I must have five! My square minded brain then says that in such a case I am clearly also paying for five - which I won't.

it does says "License for up to 5 computers in the home" in the main area. this is very much the norm these days in view of the extended number of computers in use at home. iirc, some of the AV vendors such as McAfee and Kaspersky have a 3-user License with their home edition, which means buy one license and use on three computers. however F-Prot's wordings are not consistent because in the sidebar (see pic), the wording makes the user think that they're buying 5 licenses for the price of one.

Total Commander:
%Commander_PATH%\Tools\UniExtract\UniExtract.exe
"%P%N"  "%P%O"

or untested:
"%P%N"  /sub

or to be prompted
"%P%N"

hi Stefan, i was trying out these commands and found out that the quotation marks aren't needed in most cases. i list the changes below.. :)

Total Commander:
%Commander_PATH%\Tools\UniExtract\UniExtract.exe
"%P%N" "%P%O" --> doesn't work
%P%N "%P%O" --> works

or untested:
"%P%N" /sub --> doesn't work
%P%N /sub --> works

or to be prompted
"%P%N"   --> doesn't work
%P%N   --> works

every time when i close the last tab in Iron, the whole program closes. i understand that this behaviour is carried over from Chrome but there should be a fix for this by now.

It has been said that Prostitution is the Oldest Profession.
In disagreement, I proport that Advertising is the Oldest.

My evidence is the fact that even Prostitutes had to Advertise!

i hope this doesn't turn into another chicken or egg debate.. but i disagree that advertising is older because logically a profession had to exist before being to able to advertise. ;D

sorry, i inadvertently linked the locations for Opera on the mac! :-[

Do I copy the link somewhere and find the location/path and then copy and paste it in the "custom bookmark file locations" section of FARRFox?

try this, open the following folder: %APPDATA%\Opera. (you can copy and paste the path in the 'Run' dialog). look for a file called "bookmarks.adr" (it might have a different name but the file extension will be .adr) then copy the location of that file and paste in the "custom bookmark file locations" section of FARRFox.

You can also find out where Opera stores your settings by going to the Help > About Opera menu.

P.S. i wonder if there are any other Opera users with this problem? :-\

something like that, if can be automated will of good use. currently i use google/doco search and save the 'print' version (like this) into pdf files. unfortunately the 'print' version doesn't include any images/screenshots from a thread.

so i agree this is a good idea. reminds me of a sieve like function.

Thanks for the question lanux, i have modified my post above ↑↑↑

"/sub" is an UniExtractor command line parameter to extract the archive automatically
to an sub-folder named as the base name of the archive.
thanks again, Stefan. it didn't occur to me to run UniExtract.exe with a /? parameter.. :)

All the three check boxes in advanced options section of FARRFox have been checked, but am still having issues
bringing up search results from Opera's bookmarks.

it looks like Opera's bookmarks location has been changed in version 10. the link below lists the new location. you can check in your PC and add the new location in the "custom bookmark file locations" section of FarrFox. worth a try..

Edit: the link is for Mac OS not Windows

Here's an another big fan of UniExtract, i use it on an daily base :Thmbsup:

If someone is interested, here is my collection of how to integrate UniEx in my favorite file managers:
...

thanks for the tips, AbteriX. it's nice to be able to add into Altap's user menu. btw, what is the "/sub" for?
1421
this is becoming more prevalent as publishers try to make money on their older titles. as the original dev team might not be around, they're becoming more reliant on these 'cracked' versions. even gog.com which sells DRM-free older games was supplied with such an exe recently (Arcanum), so that it becomes "DRM free". another major publisher found using them was Ubisoft, for one of the Rainbow 6 games, iirc.
1422
you're welcome.. :) just curious why did you put the quote marks?

btw, the title matching mode is set to partial match so any of the word will do.
SetTitleMatchMode 2   ; partial title match

however, with the quote marks, AHK will look for one of these words:
"File
has
changed".

which leaves "has" as the only match.

1423
try changing the "windows id" line to this:

WindowsID=File has changed ahk_class #32770  ; windows title and ahk class goes here. either will do..

that would help, i guess.
1424
i use filezilla too. where is this option? maybe i can try to get it to appear on my PC.

Edit:
in this thread here. this guy has the opposite problem, it seems but the reply is quite enlightening.

FileZilla only sets the focus window of its own process to the file exists dialog, it does not mark itself as the active program. Further, it requests user attention through some well-documented API. Either GTK+ or your window manager misinterprets this and makes the program active.

Edit2: maybe the script's timing is flaky, try changing Sleep, 3000 to a smaller number.
1425
yes, that is very possible. i guess the link that daddydave provided could shed some clue on why it happened.
