For uninstallation, I just use Geek.exe - it does not monitor, but scans for leftover registry entries and files.  Works pretty well, is simple and I like it alot.  It has a very quick filter.  It can also remove win 10 apps, not just regular programs.

For one or two computers, it seems like a headache to guess what the automated approach would actually do.  When I do it manually, I know exactly what I'm getting - nothing more and nothing less, and for me, there's no alternative to that.

I just upgraded myself from win7 to win10.  My profile was 10 years old.  I chose to do a completely fresh install and manually copy over the settings and files that I wanted to keep.

I also installed a new SSD for my new OS, but I left my old HDD with my old win7 on it as an extra internal hard disk - that way I can fetch any files or settings I want whenever I want.  I did do fresh installs of all my programs that I wanted, but most of the settings I copied from the roaming folder of the old computer to the roaming folder of the new profile.

If you are just doing two or three computers, this way isn't too hard and can be done in a day or two in a mostly casual manner.  If you are doing 10 or more, I'd look for an automated way.

I've never really liked automated methods because I am quite particular on the way my computer is configured.

For moving to win10, I recommend O&O Shutup and O&O AppBuster to get rid of the win10 crap you want.  Then get WinAeroTweaker and OpenShell (newer version of Classic Shell) - between these two apps, you can make your win10 feel almost like your win7 and be quite comfortable with it. 

I am quite pleased with my own upgrade and the way things are working out for me.

I've used Listary for a long time - and it's exactly this feature that I love the most.  There are some others, but this is the best.  It works with my file manager, FreeCommander, too, without flaw.

Listary does run ListaryService.exe along with ListaryHookHelper32.exe and ListaryHookHelper64.exe to hook application windows.

I use the Geek uninstaller.  It's dead simple and fast and will scan for leftover files and registry entries.  It is portable.  It doesn't run any services, so maybe it doesn't catch as many things as others, but it's so straghtforward that it's wonderful.  It can remove windows 10 apps, too - even ones you can't uninstall.

Just for giggles, I took a look at my Systemus program in PE Studio.

It was marked as a trojan by 36 of 73 authourities via VirusTotal.
However, look who marked it clean:
Kaspersky
Malwarebytes (and I did this test myself, too)
Avast
ClamAV
and a few others.

Interesting!  Just thought I'd give the non-false-positive credit to those guys.

What about Open-Shell?  It transforms the Windows Start Menu and makes it quite useful.  I'm actually using it as my launcher.  Open-Shell is the newest version of Classic Shell.

I used to use a-suite, which does a nice job.

However, those are menu-based launchers, not tile-based like what you are showing.  Personally, I like menu-based launchers because you can easily find things and don't have to scan a thousand squares.

Here is the mouse I purchased December of 2017.  I'm still using it.  The clicks are quite silent and it feels great in the hand.  I love it.  There's no nasty rubber that melts over time like the Microsoft Mouse 4000 (which I also liked, but the rubber components wear out very fast and it becomes unusable).

Unfortunately, this one is out of stock.

Well, I am betting that the antivir companies have not actually tried or inspected the programs that are getting flagged.  Our NANY apps are all brand new and have no history at all.  Scanning them using standard methods may indeed trigger something that is false positive but would not trigger on a program that has the same qualities but has been reviewed.  That being said, how many programs get published all the time and how many get reviewed by antivir companies.  That being said, who knows what a NANY app will do to your computer - unless you trust the coder (which by the way is a unique quality of NANY apps - the coders have reputations on the site).  The app is new and often even untested and sometimes unfinished.  It's easy to see why antivir apps would find fault with them until the apps are actually submitted to get reclassified.

However, I am unconcerned about whether people use my apps or not.  I love it when they do, but if they don't, I will continue living my life.  Therefore, I am not going to care very much if my apps get flagged, and I am not going to chase antivir companies to reclassifiy my apps.  I love making apps and I love sharing them, and I hope people enjoy using them.  But, well, there you have my not-so-humble opinion about it all.  [I'm just blathering so I can get my number-of-posts number to increase]

Last year, @oblivion told me he had my TextWorx reclassified by EMSI Antimalware.  He had to email it to them, and they reclassified it.  TextWorx is ahk, too.

anandcoral, I was having trouble compiling my Systemus - which is also in autohotkey.  I had to add the ahk2exe application to the exclusion list for MSE in order to compile.  I've never had to do this for any autohotkey program before.  I suspect something has been changed in the recent virus definition lists.

Fixed.  Version 1.5.1 will now ignore any adapters without ipaddresses - such as your bluetooth interface.

Interesting.  Can you pm me (or email me) your "ipconfig /all"  - maybe zip a text file - I will delete it when I'm done looking at it.
I think it has to do with the number of network interfaces.  Sometimes a computer has several, and not all are active.  VirtualBox can add one, Teamviewer can add one, and there may be more than one NIC.  If I had other info, I might be able to compare.  Of course, you can delete any info from the ipconifg report that you want to remove.  I mainly need to see which ones are active and pulling dns and dhcp.

Okay, so what is happening is that for some reason that I can't discern, the error is thrown when Systemus tries to fetch the network info.  I added a catch statement to return null if there is an error doing that.  So I guess we are able to fetch part of the info, but not all. 

What I can do is to try and refine the function so it doesn't fail completely.  Never thought I'd have to do that, but we'll see how it goes.

Give me a little time and I'll fix it up.  I appreciate you working with me!  You never know how things will work out on someone else's machine.

I just uploaded version 1.4.1 which should be able to bypass the startup error.  I still don't know why the error is there as I cannot reproduce it, though.
My Windows 7 receives everything from the DHCP server.

In the help file, under Window Info, you can see how to customize the window information. 

I'm also pleased that you found the sample config's systemus.ini file and understood to copy it to your own!  Kudos for that!
Yeah, I should write an options panel to do all of this, but that takes a really long time, and my programs aren't so popular, so I invite the techie folks like yourself!

@city_zen - thanks for that!  Strange, I don't have any errors when I run the program;  but I don't really have any convenient way to test on other systems, and don't have any beta testers.
Are you on Win7 or Win10?  And are you running on an admin account?  What happens if you run Systemus AS ADMIN - do you still have the error?

I'm not sure why it's throwing the error, but at least I can catch it so it doesn't display an error popup.

Can you show me your config's systemus.ini file contents?  I don't mean the systemus.ini in the application folder, but the one in the config's directory.

If you want the gateway to appear, create systemus.ini in the config dir and paste this code into it.  (directions are in the help file about how this works) - then restart Systemus and you'll get a larger report.

@4wd - thank you for the promo codes.  I am going to Quito, Ecquador in a week.  I put this app on my Galaxy and on two iphones that don't have service.  I was able to get the pro version on the iphone 6s, but the version for the 4s didn't work out - I only got the free version for that - no way to get the pro on that one.  But I will have the iphone 6s at least with an offline Quito map and can give it to one of my companions to use.  Thanks for this!
