DC Gamer Club / The Silver Lining - a fan made sequel to King's Quest
« Last post by lanux128 on July 12, 2010, 03:19 AM »
if you were a fan of the old classic, King's Quest then you'd be happy to know that the 1st episode of The Silver Lining is now available! an ambitious fangame project, TSL encompasses five episodes in total with the rest of the episodes being released later.

almost 8 years in development, the devs (Phoenix Online Studios) also had to convince various copyright owners not to proceed with legal actions. the game promises to be faithful to original series while enhancing it with modern graphics.

to download and play the 1st episode, you will have to register at their website.

I'll look at the fifa page as soon as I can lanux, but I fear it'll be too late.

I looked at the page, and I think there might be interaction with the webpage which swiffout can't handle right now.

that's ok, some other time then. thanks for checking it out so quickly.. :)

you can try this freeware MHTML Converter.

An easy to use application designed to convert *.mht files into the more commonly supported *.html format.  All embedded content will also be extracted and linked directly to the new *.html file ensuring full compatibilty with other web browsers.

Site/Forum Features / show some of the content in a tooltip
« Last post by lanux128 on July 10, 2010, 06:30 AM »
i've noticed that in some forums, as one hovers over the thread link, a tooltip appears showing part of the contents. i find it useful when the title is a bit vague and i wonder if it's possible to implement here in DoCo as well..

don't worry, the font and its size are configurable (the default size is 24). also you can try some of the digital readout fonts.

DC Gamer Club / NASA Moonbase Alpha - FREE
« Last post by lanux128 on July 08, 2010, 12:39 PM »
this is a free game by NASA that is distributed via Steam. among its features are multi-player coop which might fancy some of the DoCo members.

NASA has once again landed on the lunar surface with the goal of colonization, research, and further exploration. Shortly after the return to the Moon, NASA has established a small outpost on the south pole of the moon called Moonbase Alpha. Utilizing solar energy and regolith processing, the moonbase has become self-sufficient and plans for further expansion are underway.

Or at least post a one-time dialog upon upgrade, to notify users of this change in folder management.

this is a good idea..

the different levels of transparency can be configured via the ini file. check out the screenshots.. :)

Fig.1 : a window is sitting on top of all others, but nearly invisible in its transparency.

Fig.2: it is now active and becomes more visible.

General Software Discussion / Re: Truecrypt defeats FBI
« Last post by lanux128 on June 29, 2010, 12:35 AM »
The files were encrypted using Truecrypt and an unnamed algorithm, reportedly based on the 256-bit AES standard. In the UK, Dantas would be compelled to reveal his passphrase under threat of imprisonment, but no such law exists in Brazil.

a probable fallout from this case will be a change in the Brazilian method of extracting information.

Looks exactly as I described (except the language), when I add a 10, 50 or whatever after a space it comes with an error message.

does your path have a space in them? if so you have enclose the path in quotes, like this:

"C:\Program Files\CCCCtrlC\CCCCtrlC.exe" 50
