fSekrit / Re: LATEST VERSION: fSekrit 1.40 shrinkwrapped!

While I rarely use the read-only feature myself, I like the possibility to save permanently read-only files and I don't think you should make it possible to make them writable again. That would only reduce it's function to the previously mentioned "protect me against my fumble-finger saving", and I'm having a hard time imagining how you could both accidentally edit a document, AND accidentally save the document afterward. For people who need that you have the +R attribute.

General Software Discussion / Re: The Best Of: text editors

All of you have missed one very very very good editor which should be covered also:
E-TextEditor. Contains whole a lot great features and supports almost too many different formats....:)
Worth of checking, IMHO!
I tried E-TextEditor a few years back but uninstalled it immediately. To use its advanced features you need Cygwin, and Cygwin installed 760 MB in 44 136 files. That's about twice as many files as I currently have in my program files folder, with 200 applications installed.

Thanks, updating solved the problem. :) I was sure I had the latest version (seeing as it is almost a year old), but I was wrong.

Any news regarding this? NOD32 has been buggning me for months now, thinking GridMove.exe is a backdoor trojan. Adding it to the exclude list doesn't help for some reason.

Nice little app! :)
A very similar app is Steganos LockNote http://www.steganos.com/?content=locknote&language=en, which has a few additional features, like searching in the file and creating an encrypted exe from an existing text-file by dragging it into the program window, which creates an exe-file in the same folder with the same name as the txt-file. Also it's icon has got more colours  ;)
On the negative side, it takes almost 300 kb, which is more than 7 times the size of fSekrit! I bet the huge image in the about dialog uses about the same space as this whole program does. :)

My whishlist:
• Ability to convert txt-files by dragging and dropping into program
• Unicode (UTF-8) support would be nice, but let the user have the option to download a version without unicode with smaller filesize.

Keep up the good work!
