Living Room / I'm looking for a word processor app for Android 2.3.4
« on: February 25, 2012, 12:23 PM »
I'm looking for a word processor app for Android 2.3.4. I don't need or want powerpoint, excel, or any other features of a suite. I just want a word processor that support rtf, doc, and docx. If it also could create links and embed images, okay, cool, but not necessary. I apologize if I am in the wrong forum.

I have checked some of the single apps in the Android Market, but they neglect to say which formats they support. The office suites do, but I don't need an office suite.  I will take a suite if that's all.

What say ye olde experts of the code world?

Living Room / Request a program, how?
« on: November 23, 2008, 04:51 PM »

I need a program, simple one, I believe, an executable no installer.  I know how to place executables in the program folder and how to make shortcuts.

The program would do these with a word:

1.
never
ofwfs
pgxgt
qhyhu
riziv
sjajw
tkbkx
ulcly
vmdmz
wnena
xofob

ctktg
duluh
evmvi
fwnwj
gxoxk
hypyl
izqzm
jaran
kbsbo
lctcp
mdudq
never

2.

It will have the option to leave the Q out.  I can't pay much because the new year is my donation here, but I can pay something reasonable.  I am a poor poet. Boohoo. Don't work? I am poor though.

You can name it W.E.T. or WET (Word Entry Tumbler). We can negotiate the price. I don't want any rights to it, except to use it. I don't need any other functions in it except that it support WordWeb and Moby Thesaurus and I can print the results.  Silly, yeah.

Mobysaurus / Mobysaurus, WordWeb, and Rough Draft
« on: July 20, 2008, 01:44 PM »
I saw Mobysaurus here and downloaded it. Saw it was a good thesaurus, but what really got me was the support for WordWeb Pro (and the free too I suppose). Rough Draft, a free word processor for writers (does not have the excessive bells and whistles that Word has; it has just the necessary for writers.) uses WordWeb Pro as its dictionary and Mobysaurus does too.  The three, Rough Draft, WordWeb Pro, and Mobysaurus are the most important elements in my office. I own a license for OfficeXP, bought before I knew better. and the OpenOffice suite though free suffers the same malady as Microsoft Office.  I put together my own office 'suite' of just the components that I really need.

Thank you for Mobysaurus.

Mouser, your Browser TraySwitch aids and abets me in using the internet as my hard drive. I use Mozilla Firefox, Flock, K-Meleon, Opera, and IE 7. I use Mozilla Firefox for most things including tech forums, then Flock for the several photo and social forum sites, then K-Meleon for Google page and email (I use Gmail for tech stuff because of the good search but not for personal), and the others for similar differing subjects and interests. I use two email programs, Mozilla Thunderbird my default and Windows Live Mail for Hotmail. I open my two Gmail accounts in one of the two remaining browsers. I have 14 email accounts but all except the Gmails and Hotmail are downloaded into Thunderbird. I have a house in Alabama and an apt in NYC. Comcast in Alabama and RoadRunner in NYC which explains most of my email addresses. Active accts in both; I download the email from the other wherever I am. On the road I have similar arrangement on usb drive, though only have portable Firefox, Opera, and Thunderbird. Some friends think my arrangement requires a lot of time, but because of Browser Trayswitch I check everything faster than most with only one or two email addresses or just one or two browsers.

Browser TraySwitch is a wonderful program, very useful. Thank you. There was an older browser switch program, but it wasn't as easy to use or as graceful. Thank you.
