General Review Discussion / Re: Review suggestions
« on: May 15, 2007, 02:54 PM »
There's a free disk imaging program called Partition Logic http://partitionlogic.org.uk/index.html From their homepage:   "Partition Logic is free software, based on the Visopsys operating system.  It boots from a CD or floppy disk and runs as a standalone system, independent of your regular operating system.  It is intended to become a free alternative to such commercial programs as  Partition Magic, Drive Image, and Norton Ghost..." Sounds good. How about running it through its paces?

General Software Discussion / Re: envelope printing freeware?

Thanks to each of you for the help, but especially to hawleyj for directing me to the relatively obscure but excellent Splinter Creek Envelope Wizard. It worked perfectly the first try and was easier to configure and faster than the two shareware  downloads I tried which about 20.00 for the permanent license. Download available at http://www.freeware4u.com. This free app should be much more widely available on the Net.

General Software Discussion / envelope printing freeware?
« on: April 22, 2007, 02:53 PM »
Is there a basic free envelope printing program out there suitable for occasional personal use, not batch printing or label printing?  Shareware programs of the type seem relatively expensive but so far my web search has turned up nothing comparable in freeware. I'm hoping someone has had better luck.

This disk imaging software was introduced in late January at http://www.runtime.org/dixml.htm  This is a completely enabled program NOT shareware or a demo tied to a paid "full featured" version. Been testing it and its looking good, competitive with my copy of Acronis True Image 8.0. Also available with a couple of enthusiastic  user reviews at Snapfiles.
