Hey I'm getting a Wii as soon as they start stocking them again Is it what you expected from it? I already have an Xbox 360 and a PS3 for serious gaming (Yeah yeah I'm a console freak!)

Well a lot of retailers in the UK have put up some new stock for the easter weekend. How long it lasts is anyone's guess. Most of the online shops' stock is probably already gone.

When I am ready i will just buy it from, say, a german site or something - they have stock way more often and shipping is not too bad. And they don't force you to buy a bundle with some useless hard-to-shift games, which is what most UK retailers are doing.

I'd be happy to exchange Wii Codes with anyone on DC who has a Wii. I only know two people who have one, so my friends list is small.

I unfortunately don't have a Wii myself, but I was visiting my younger brothers, who bought one. Unfortunately they haven't bought any games yet (cheapskates!), but it ships with "Wii sports" which is pretty funny.

Dunno if the browser is Opera, I wouldn't be very surprised if it is - but didn't look closer. Works sorta okay, although it doesn't support everything IE and FF does. You can watch youtube and play a few flash things though, so that's cool enough.

I don't know the specs of the console, but it's a good deal lower than PS3 and XBOX360 from what I gather. That doesn't really matter though, as long as it gets all the really cool and interesting niche games, that don't sell only on graphics

The Wii Internet Browser is powered by Opera. It's still kind of in beta testing mode right now. I think the final version will be released this month, but I'm not sure on that. It was scheduled for March but got delayed.

Typing without a keyboard is tough. Especially because they don't have any of the Wiimote buttons mapped to backspace or space, so if you make a mistake or want to move on to the next word you have to click those buttons on the on-screen keyboard, which gets old fast.
