Red Box Capture Mode Error
« on: February 01, 2020, 03:11 AM »
When I try to do a scrolling window capture using the Object and Scrolling Window tool, I do not get the "red outline" that I can move around with my cursor. What am I doing wrong, or, which settings may I have incorrectly set?

I am having this issue when scrolling web pages.

thanks everybody

This may be related to the AV (Antivirus) software you use, or other 'protection tools' installed. You could try disabling them, or any 'prevent taking screenshots' options if available, and retry starting a scrolling capture.

(OT: Both Firefox and Chrome didn't pass the automatic detection for scrolling on my system, but that's selectable only *after* the redbox outline feature was shown, and I pressed the right-control key and chose Begin a Scrolling Window Capture on this Object.)

When using the Firefox browser, you can use its built-in feature of taking a screenshot (Right-click in the page, select 'Take a Screenshot'), the selection tool allows selecting more than is currently visible on screen by auto-scrolling the content when reaching the screen-borders.
