Ok I'm feeling stupid - I must be missing something obvious, but I just don't see it. I have no search area ????? (see pic)

not sure what you mean by search area, but all you have to do is choose a dir or master dir (as you did here 'E:\') to search for audio files, then just click the 'create playlist' button

if there's some other issue, please let me know

Did you look at the pic?  I can't search if I don't have a place to search - I clicked on create playlist, but all that was going to do was put every song in that folder in the playlist.  Here is another close up pic. I have the Select a directory to search option but I just don't have an option there to type in what I want to search FOR within that directory- ??   Sorry I know it's probably something dumb on my part - but I'm confused how to get the search options to show up

you have to set your options in order to filter what you want (and don't want) in the list.

Well apparently your pic on the main page is a earlier version and you have all your options right there in the opening window. In this version I just downloaded it is not like that. I have to click on the Options Tab ( which you don't even have in your pictured version) then I have to click on the keywords tab within the Options tab and search from there - not nearly as convenient seems to me as the version you have pictured. Could I get your version? lol  Anyway, maybe you should change the pic of your program so other dumb people like myself won't get confused :)

duly noted.  you're right, the newer version(s) demanded their own separate space as the options grew and became more and complete.  there simply wasn't room to keep everything on the front page without shrinking the list area to minimum.

now that that's outta the way, hopefully you can enjoy this thing.

btw, i was working on having the options dialog as a floating 2nd window because of this problem.  maybe you'll like that one better once i get it done.

Hi Seedling,

Hope all is well with you. Looks like you've been busy.

Just wondering if there's any chance you can add TAK support to RMTM? In case you don't know, TAK uses APE tags like WavPack.

More about TAK here:

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Cheers,

P.

ps. Did you get my reply re. HA post a while back?

pps. Any news on dealing with filenames that include an additional fullstop or "period" prior to the extension, e.g. :

filename.something.flac

Hi Seedling

Results from the (still open) Hydrogen Audio 2009 encoding poll

Lossless

FLAC [64.29%]
WavPack [16.22%]
TAK [6.37%]
Monkey's Audio [2.12%]
Apple Lossless [2.51%]

Lossy

MP3 [59.46%]
Ogg Vorbis [13.71%]
AAC (MP4, M4A, AAC) [17.37%]
MPC [4.25%]
WavPack lossy [0.19%]

For context here's a graph of previous results:
http://img206.images...g206/3774/ha1fg1.png

By the way it's worth remembering that this is only HA members and though audio enthusiasts they are nor representative of the mass, but perhaps more a sign of future trends. I think the trend is in some ways more significant than the "market share".

Anyway, thought you might find it interesting.

P.
