a year later... I finally found an occasion to use FileParentView. Turned out that it was the older version; it was stable but will not Save. So I replaced it with the new version from July 2010. It will save but will not minimize; the minimize button will light up, but not do anything. I have to right-click the icon on the task-bar and use AnVir Task Manager > Minimize.

Is  this only happening to me, or does someone else have the same problem?

Vista 32-bits

Edited:
I forgot to say that merely clicking the icon in the task bar will do the trick,
-but the minimize button does not work here.

It was scanning 40.000 files.
Now, when the resulting file has been saved, it has no problem minimizing via the button.

That would be due to the fact that I didn't put any sort of sleep within the file-scanning loop.  In other words, I sacrificed GUI responsiveness for maximum speed.  That's not something I normally do but I felt it wouldn't be an issue for how techidave was using it.

well, now that I have learned how to use it, and have scanned 76,690 files, it won't be an issue for me either...

I am looking for something that would scan the My Music folder for the song titles and then list them along with the path of the title.

-one should also know about Directory List & Print, http://www.infonauti.../directorylistprint/ ; both a free and a $20/€15 Pro version. For any file type, and with more options.
