Not saving with filename specified in preferences
« on: February 14, 2025, 11:00 PM »
Several months ago I was playing with the filename to save a file with.

I don't remember if I changed the name in preferences or changed it in the field in the capture popup that's called something like "Override name"

Anyway, I named the file "345".  Now every time I save a file it is named "345."  But it is sequencing so that if a file with that name already exists, it will add a number to it such as "345 03".

I cannot figure out how to get it to stop using that name and start using the name I have set in the preferences file (screenshot below).

Last resort will be to fiddle with the .ini file but hoping someone here knows how to do it through the program.

Thanks for any help!

In the main ScreenshotCaptor window you've in the lower right-hand corner a field for quick file naming.
This is for quick naming a series of screenshots aside the default setting.
Maybe you've put some text in there.

Bullseye!  Thanks much!

You can change the vertical window size of that bottom pane with those name fields on it and I had it scrunched down so that it was almost hidden and wasn't able to see that there was anything in it.  Thanks a whole lot for the great guess!

Miss Mouser.  Does he ever make an appearance on the site these days?

Thanks again!
