Dunno if it only works with diet coke or if regular works as well... but google around, there's been plenty of ill things done with those nasty freshmakers

Ok that is just one of the best pranks I've seen in a long time. I gotta find someone to play it on. Unfortunately I'm the Coke addict among my friends, in fact if any of them see this I'll be the guaranteed target

By the way I've heard it works with any carbonated drink and that diet coke is preferred over regular mainly only because without the high sugar content it's much easier to clean up afterwards. There are supposedly videos on youtube of people trying to repeat the effect internally but none seem to have the common sense to actually attempt it in a way which might have worked.

Hm. I wonder if I could get one of my brothers to drink a boatload of coke, then dope them with mentos? Or perhaps swallow a whole pack of mentos without chewing, then force 1½ litres of coke down the throath?

Could be worth the hassle, if I can find a video camera. I've already got duct tape handy

Yeah my guess is swallowing the mentos without chewing is the key. I'd bet about a litre of coke followed by one or two mentos swallowed whole would work, but I ain't going to try, not sober at least

it wouldn't work. pouring the coke out of the bottle stops the fountain effect from happening. Mythbusters have already tried to see what would happen if you drank diet coke and swallowed a bunch of mentos.
