I'm starting to explore the idea of moving to a plain text-based system and possibly incorporating something like the zettelkasten method - so how can I structure my files, metadata, and tags in a way that is human readable and easily searchable, but also flexible enough to adapt if my tools or habits change over time?

That actually sounds like a really cool combo. Going primitive could help clear the mental noise, and zettelkasten gives a structured way to capture the deeper thoughts that come up. Maybe think of it like carving tools out of stone and then documenting the process with a second brain. If you’re into journaling or idea-mapping already, zettelkasten will probably feel like a natural extension.
