As the previous two posts indicate, the usefulness of this plugin is, unfortunately, fairly limited. Nevertheless, the source code may prove useful for other FARR plugin developers.

Just like my Multi Monitor plugin, I think this plugin is probably obsolete, i.e. I think FARR has MRU functionality built in now. In any case, I have put it on GitHub as it might be useful for other FARR plugin developers.

While the plugin is not needed anymore to use FARR on multiple monitors, the source code may still serve as a source of inspiration for future FARR plugin writers (or software archaeologist :D)

Mouser's 'holy cow what a cool thing to do' is still my favourite reaction to any of my posts anywhere! Also, I still regularly use my 'Certified Plugin Developer' DC mug that this plugin earned me :)

That reminds me of Heartbleed. Five years ago, a critical bug in OpenSSL shocked the (tech) world. It became known that a security-critical library that was used in thousands of web servers and hundreds of products was being maintained on a donation-based $2000 a year budget.

I would not be surprised if the next 'Heartbleed' will be found in one of the under-funded open source libraries in Staltz's list.

Are most businesses that depend on such open source libraries aware of the fact that they cannot necessarily rely on these libraries being up to required security standards when the people that need to ensure that security cannot even live from what they are doing?

I have it with Paint.net, but only at work where I have Paint.net installed using the Windows installer in 'Program Files'. On my private laptop, where I have installed Paint.net using Scoop (which installs it somewhere underneath Users\user\scoop\apps), the icon is display correctly.

Great to see DC is still alive and kicking. Unfortunately, I have not been able to come to the site often as I have started studying again in late 2016, besides working in a full-time job (crazy, I know!). However, I am sure you guys will still be around when I graduate in a year :D.

I am happy to make my contribution though (just donated). I wish DC all the best for the next 13 years!.

Generally, I think what you are suggesting would be a great idea. However, the usage of APIs typically requires an API key and is not necessarily free. I am also not sure how many websites are actually providing an API to "search" their site.

Are you thinking about some specific websites, or is your comment meant as a general suggestion?

Sorry, for the inconvenience. I have switched Web-Hosters and have not uploaded anything to the new hoster yet. I have attached the files to the first post now. The plugin is kind of obsolete though as FARR now has that functionality built-in (check the Display Options).

This looks really cool and I might give this a go myself. Did you already find a suitable monitor?

We just had a major change made on our house which left me with a rather long and empty wall which I already knew must end up with some Raspberry-smart-monitor-thingy. I made sure there are power- and network sockets in the right place ;). Combining it with a mirror seems perfect. What I wanted to do initially was a photo-frame with additional information like weather, room temperature, maybe news and other stuff. Then add UPNP control to it for a nearby stereo system with an attached HifiBerry. Now I think the smart mirror should show photos until it senses someone standing right in front of it, then turn into the mirror, still showing the overlayed info, but hiding the photo.

But before I do that I want to build smart LED lighting (also for that long wall, as it's actually a gangway). I want the LED strip to go bright when it gets darker, then, at a specified time it should dim down to a very low level. Once it senses motion (someone going to the toilet), it should brighten up a bit and go back to very low after a specified amount of time. And then turn off when it gets bright in the morning. And it might also indicate the day's weather report with different colors in the morning :)

Anyone here using Bootstrap 4 Alpha for production? I've just started to adapt a Bootstrap 3 application to corporate identity and it's a lot of work. I'd rather not repeat that if it's possible to upgrade to version 4 soon.

Note that this been discussed and requested multiple times, see here for example. I was once of the opinion that this was intended behavior, although I'm not sure any more. Anyway, it seems to be really difficult to convince mouser to actually change this ;)

The 'About us' link in the nav bar is not always available. Is that on purpose?

It's there after navigating to either Forum or Donate (where it's just called 'About'), but not with any of the other pages. Also, when navigating to Donate, the Donate link is replace by 'About'. This is not the case for any of the other pages though, i.e. they stay available even after navigating to the respective page.

I'm afraid I wasn't able to reproduce the crash on my old laptop running the 32 bit version Windows 7. I've also re-created your smart list 'Today's agenda' hoping it might be somehow related to that search, so far without success. If you want to help track it down I can make you a build with log statements embedded, trying to find the position in the code where it crashes.

I'm not sure. I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit and it seems to be working fine. I would assume it should run with 64-bit Windows 7 as well though. Does it matter which of the tasks you click on in order to make it crash? Does it crash with 1.1.3 as well?

I have an old laptop somewhere lying around that I think still has Windows 7 installed (not sure if it's 32 or 64 bit though). I'll try later with that one.

I've re-built libcurl with the C runtime linked into the binary and replaced the installer here:

No installation of additional runtime should be necessary.

Would appreciate if you could check this one out, even if smart lists seem to be working with 1.1.3 after all.

My only explanation for why it's working again now is a bug / glitch at RTM's side which they coincidentally fixed just now.

Really sorry about that. Yes, it should be safe to install the VS 2015 runtime alongside the one for VS 2013. But to be honest, I thought I had the runtime libraries linked into the binary. But maybe I haven't for libcurl. I can't check right now, will do so in a the next 24 hours. Sorry for using you as a guinea pig.

Would you mind trying again (with the same download link)? I've included a newer version of libcurl. I have no idea why it worked for me with the old one.
