Hmm... Interesting.  Not something I'd get at normal price, though.  For the stuff I do, that price is overkill.  But I'll keep an eye out for more deals, especially if mouser recommends it. :)

I'm on there a lot as wraith808 also.  Very lively community, and I've been introduced to a lot of board games.  I've also sold on the marketplace, and it is a very good place to sell, though not as well traveled as eBay of course.

Why post about your product in a compliment to another developer instead of making your own thread in Announce Your Software/Product.  Bad form, IMO.

What I mainly use DA for is to launch applications and websites with quick combinations of keys, i.e. `out launches outlook.  I know it has other functions, but I've never gotten into them, and was wondering if ME had a better interface to process things other than launching applications/websites.

I think it could be used to generate leads, but in general, I just go with headhunters.  I'm trying to build up my hosting presence, so from that perspective if there are small business owners, it could help.  But I've really not followed up and relied on word of mouth for clients.  So I don't think it's a function of the site, but more that I haven't used to resources for networking as it could be.

I use Direct Access which seems to be in the same category, but not in the same category, as MacroExpress and its ilk seem to be a superset of Direct Access and similar products.  Am I seeing this the correct way?  Could I replace DA with ME, and then take advantage of the advanced functionality also?

Perhaps a place for posting more substantial needs on a commercial basis also- maybe someone doesn't need a programmer in house, but needs a specialized program for their business that isn't available elsewhere.

The one thing to mention about Adobe Lite is that it *isn't* sanctioned by Adobe, but just someone that altered the installer (and doesn't say exactly what was altered).  Not something that I trust, personally...

I like the dialog idea better than the redirect, and like *both* better than CAPTCHA.  I'd think that a dialog or a redirect would deter bots enough without the CAPTCHA.

I'm not in Vista... it's not really a big deal; I never even thought about it before I saw this thread... being the software addict I am, I *had* to look at it.  :-[

It would probably be a cool addition, but nothing that I'm missing by not having it.

Oubliette, a freeware password manager by tranglos.

Another vote for Oubliette.  Though its not supported anymore, it does include source, which is a major plus for me, and it's done well.

http://www.nbos.com/...oducts/keep/keep.htm

Finally there's a personal information manager designed specifically for gamers... The Keep v1.0 from NBOS Software. Use The Keep to organize and track all your gaming information. Use it for your campaign notes, campaign logs, maps, handouts,... all the information you need to track for a successful campaign!

http://www.drivethrurpg.com has a bundle with this and fractal mapper (another good program, though I don't use it as much) for $52.  Pretty good deal considering the fact that The Keep by itself is 34.95.

The applications that I'm talking about have their own functionality to minimize to tray- evernote, timetraces, tag everything, earthdesk, outlook, clipnote.  The ones I was playing around with were outlook, evernote, and timetraces.  By the time I tried it with three applications, I was done- if it had only been one application having a problem, I would have thought it was the application.  But three separate ones?

Back on topic :)

* Another vote for The Journal
* I also use The Keep for organizing my PbEM notes and resources
* Benubird Pro.  Just started using it recently, but its amazing how I don't even want to get things in 'dead tree' format anymore after I can organize my pdfs so easily.
* geek.Menu, which allows me to organize everything on the go.
* Evernote
* WordWeb
* Zulupad Pro
* Ideamason

And then on my iPhone
* Stanza
* Evernote
* Spreadsheet

But that seems pretty basic- I was just trying to clean up my tray notification area, so I set my applications to minimize to this program, then tried to access one of them, and it just disappeared- I could see it in the task manager, so it was still running, but I couldn't get it back until I pressed refresh menu on the app- then it reappeared, but I still couldn't get it to restore!  I tried several apps that way, and none of them worked...

I plan to a limited extent.  But I often find myself in the design often, never build category; every time I get ready to develop, I end up revising the design again.  :-[

But I do notice that when I actually get into a project, it tends to go smoother than the ones at work where they never give enough time to design... ::shrug::

I tried it as it looked interesting.  Definitely a no-go from me.  My feedback on uninstall:

Tried to to basic things with it and they didn't work, i.e. pressed hotkey and menu continually painted for 5 minutes freezing application, tried to access hidden application and could not, duplicated icons, and several other show stopper defects.

No, that is incorrect.  PortableApps.com menu uses the same system (geek.Menu is a fork of that), and also in any case where you need to launch an application from a different location than the executable lies it would work- sort of a portable shortcut... perhaps I need to rename it to Portable Shortcut or something like that, and perhaps enhance it so that the application doesn't need to be in a sub directory of the shortcut...
