Looping back: Wolfram - New kind of Science...hmm...sometimes it's helpful to read up on what's been happening in your field for the last decade or two instead of wasting time independently rediscovering and re-articulating topics in information science that had already gone mainstream (and been discussed to death) about 10 years before your "new" science opus was published?
Moral: if you're going to lock yourself in an ivory tower - be sure to install a good broadband connection first.

Both words mean "capable of burning". No other real difference. In the US manufacturers are required to use only the word "flammable", but any products already labelled with "inflammable" do not have to be changed. It is really just an instance where the prefix "in" is really out of place. "in" as a prefix has two meanings: 1) 'not' or 'lacking' as in inedible, illegal, implausible, irreverent. 2) 'into, in, on, upon' as with income, intake, implant. Most of the time the difference is fairly clear, but not so with "inflammable".lol!

Since I previously had a Windows Phone 8, all my contacts were perfectly synced on it. If I login to the Windows Live site on my computer, the same perfectly synced contacts show up. Now, one would expect to be able to link those contacts to my desktop Outlook 2010...but such an option doesn't seem to exist! What the Fu--! Microsoft won't even play nice with itself? Hehe I was actually glad none of the crap in my MSN/Hotmail/Live account cluttered up my Outlook ... But I know what you mean. For our operation (we have Exchange in-house) The Exchange side keeps everything synced between devices, and I just ignore the MSN/Hotmail/Live account that clutters up my phone. I should have tied it to my work live account, but had a stupid moment and plugged in my personal account instead ... That software uses the concept of adapters that can make applications "talk" to applications/files that normally are not able to do this. This concept sounds to me like an answer. I downloaded the FlowHeater freebie, as I have played with a trial of Microsoft's BizzTalk (2006) before and liked it. Couldn't afford it though, not for my use case anyway.
The FlowHeater software is also available in a (limited) freeware version, so you could try to see if this concept could work for you or not.-Shades (November 16, 2013, 05:55 AM)

I would like either "flammable" or "inflammable" removed. Both mean the same thing, which is downright silly IMO. So dump one of them, please! Inflammable is too often misused for nonflammable. Stupid, confusing words!yea, i agree with this one too. i even remember having at least 3 conversations in my life plus at least two instructors in school going over this. lol

"Security through obscurity" is not an effective strategy. Backdoors are only workable in closed systems.Argh! So true!!
You're probably facing a sysadmin that has invested an entire career in the systems and OS you're currently using. These types will fight tooth and claw to keep anything they don't already know out of the place they're working rather than upgrade their skill set or think outside their box.

Good to know. I like the idea of getting a Nexus 5. Problem is my Nexus S is still holding it's own. Only just but not bad enough to justify upgrading.Seems to be true. A friend of mine has an 18-month old nexus (samsung?) and it is still very fine. These Nexus phones really hold up well over the months compared to some other android devices I've used. Might be really cool to do a collaborative antimalware info resource for the community here. There's enough of us at DC that either regularly need to deal with this for clients, or are individuals with some serious real world experiences gained from fixing their own PCs. The DC hive mind should have a lot of good vetted info and tips to share in a more organized manner than just random forum postings.Would it be similar to this idea I had a while back:
Ideally it would be a small wiki since it would need to be editable and expandable without it becoming a three mile long thread with dozens of unlinked posts, many of which will become outdated fairly rapidly.
