Ah, i tested this with two completly different pictures for frame and mask  :(

What is this thing good for?
i understand it's a frame for a mask <?>    (the frame following the contur of the mask)
Funny  :) I'll try this too.

:-\ I finally got to test StartClock on W2000, too, and the Start button remains unchanged. So it looks like you'll have to upgrade to XP. ;)

Thank you.
But i would first ask chris,.... but better you do. (I don't want to post your code there)

Thanks very much  :)

Note-Its alarms / reminders are located under Special Notes.
OK, i try.

Additional Special Notes:
- Clipboard viewer - Actively hooks into the clipboard stream to automatically watch for and display changes to the clipboard
- Clipboard log - Keeps a log of all clipboard activity
Nice, i will try.

Download is 2.5Meg because it has some dependancies. (i.e it uses a safe-subclass component).
2,5 MB is bad  :) (i collect my tools on CD and/or USB-Stick to carry them with me, so size is a matter{IMHO} )

Application wide settings (since there is not alot of them) is stored in the registry.
On some PCs i don't wanna leave tracks if i start my tools from the USB-Stick, but that's my behaviour  :)
But M$ attempt to create something like the registry was no good thing for end users, i love the UN1X way most.
We could carry all settings with us (special in this USB-Stick time)
and modify this INI even by starting from an  floppy disk (or such) in case of emergency.
(OK OK, with Bart's PE CD this is no matter anyway  :))

Note specific settings are stored in the Note's file
Good to hear.

Help file is something that I need to develop but hard to find time for a freeware application.
Yes, i understand you.

Any other questions ask away...
Thank you.

OK, i see there are two "layers" if i use this combination
and i must "clear Frame" AND "clear Mask" to get original pic.
But the mask lay in front of the pic and "blur" the pic with the white color of the mask
(and i see no tears, maybe an issue of frame/mask size ?)

Restart of SC no solve.
I delete the INI, no solve.
I delete the Screenshots folder (5 MB in 46 files), (SC create no new one) and Access Violation is gone
I copy all shots back in the Screenshots folder and SC works again with all 46 files.

remember there are masks and also picture frames.
I have also a few frames.
But while frames work ATM only inside a picture, i played more with masks  :)

you can also combine both in one thing, by making like
frame.png and frame.png.mask
and putting it in the fames directory.

You mean:
The Frame is e.g. "xyz.png" and
the coressponting Mask would be than "xyz.png.mask" ?
and puting both in the Frames folder, hmmm didn't work ?   (2.00.06)

Hmm, got an Access violetion too during croping.
Snaping still works.

here are some frames:

Yes i checked out the side of Note-It.

But Note-It have no timer/alarm, isn't it.

Would you explain more about Note-It please ?

- why it this a dl of 2,5Meg ??? (so it has no change to be dl by me, Stickie f.ex. have 600kB)
- does your tool use the registry or store it all setting in an INI in program folder ?
- what is the advantage of your tool over Stickies ? I don't see any reading your feature list:
Features:
Append multiple notes to a single file
All text formating is now saved with the note file
Drag and drop text from most applications
Control the transparency of a note - let notes fade to the background
Store images inside a note - simply paste into the note
Show Special View notes and display information like computer memory, live clipboard viewer, and hard drive space
Minimize option lets you shrink a note to icon size

> live clipboard viewer
does Note-It capture the text from clipboard ?

I try to make some mask during the week in my spare time.
It's not finishing yet (and will never)
I try to post the collection here on sunday.

It's fun to play around, and you could do that on your own, too.
Just open your grafic program (i used PhotoFiltre free)
and create a new *gif in any size you want (e.g. 200x200 pix) with white back ground.
Than use black color to colorize an region you wanna make lucent
or use a grey color to bleach the picture.
Play with mask size and different colors.

Here are a few exaples, mask and result:

What do you mean, rjbull ?
I playing around always and test several tools all the way.
If i had to do a work and must start an tool or batch i like to use cron.
If i want to be remember on an given time or in several minutes (or store an notice) i use stickies. (or ATNotes, or UK's Kalender or EPIM)

I had the same idea for our community, an UFU-forum for "Users favorite utilities"
There are a lot good app&tools ITW,
but to download, install, test, understand all of them could be a pain.

So users could post in UFU there lovely allday tools
and show tips and tricks how they work
and maybe make a little "support".

Hi,
[...]
why do I need a license file for Screenshot Captor?
What's that? Why do I have to register to this forum? Why should I provid my email?
Only to become a license file which is changing my freeware license into a demo license???

Hi Uwe,
welcome to the forum.
Why you have to register ?
Well, you get an (or even a few) great application
what is still in improvement with an zero time response from the author for free
and all what the author want is that you join the community,
say hallo, maybe look around how's here,
perhaps tell us what is good and what could be better with the applications,
get you licence key and maybe make a small donation to keep the project online.

Less things in live are free, but mostly not as cheap as here  :)

I hope you come back ?

and found stickies really nifty at the end.
So i will wrote you and improvement wish soon :)

Screenshot Captor / Request: flip and rotade
« Last post by AbteriX on September 05, 2005, 12:00 PM »
May i suggest an flip option for the cliparts ?

In modul Clipart object i need the possibility to flip objects h or v.

So our garfield could look to the left side too.

Is this possible to integrade at easy ?

-------
And why can i rotade "only" in 90° degrees ?
Is this to difficult to implement ?
I need to rotade at least in 45° steps, better of course would be 22,5° or 11,25° steps.
So i need less cliparts e.g. arrows.
At the moment i need one arrow for left, right, top, down.
And another arrow for the 45° steps between (see below) and than two more for the steps between between.

Is this possible to integrade at easy too ?   Or took that to much time ?

Or will you do that later, or never? Just a statement pls.

That looks like an wrong or damadged context-menu handler.

That's something like:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ * \ shellex \ ContextMenuHandlers \ something here
@="{3FBCD0B0-EB63-4737-9101-615610E83DF6}"

Are you aware with the registry ?
Could you save the hole HKCR\* sub-key
and than delete one by one item to see whats wrong ?
Need  you an step by step howto ?

------
If you search for "your" GUID you see by "Open With"
you should find an "InProcServer32"-Key with   "%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll" as Standard.
