I'm going to add a SATA PCI card to my 5 year old motherboard. I just also read that SATA hard drives also use a different power connector than the 4-pin molex one. So, could I just get an adapter for the molex and use it for the SATA? Most of my information that I read is from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA
It says that I can add an adapter, but because of the voltage issues, I won't be able to hot-swap the drives. Did I understand that correctly?-superboyac (December 20, 2006, 11:01 AM)
If you need to distirbute some really large files, look into torrents - µTorrent has an easy-to-use built-in "mini tracker".-f0dder (December 18, 2006, 06:24 PM)

As far as the rewards of building and maintaining the castle, I understand the traditional goals of that in a regular civ-like RTS. It sounded like it was being suggested that it be different than that though, particularly in the sense that the user only controlled one guy. Would people follow you? Would additional units just run around with AI and do their own business? Lots of questions are raised in this scenario.

I am not able to get GridMove to work! The first time I run it, the program freezes after I click "OK" on the info box about tooltips. The .ini file is created and so is an empty plugins directory. When I run the script after windows kills it, I get the GridMove tray icon. However it is not clickable and none of the functions of GridMove work. Same thing happens after deleting the newly created files.
I am running the latest version of GridMove on Windows XP. I also have the latest version of AutoHotkey. I'd love to use GridMove if I could!-bugmenot (November 15, 2006, 09:24 PM)

I think you could take that basic engine and keep working on it and really develop some fun games with it.-mouser (December 09, 2006, 11:31 PM)

P.S. Nuking all of Redmond as opposed to passing GPS coords for the MS campus only would perhaps be a little overkill, but I used to live there and the streets through town are pretty much a drive-thru shopping mall, so no great loss...-Edvard (December 08, 2006, 03:48 PM)
