You might fancy 3RVX - a skinnable volume controller (requires .NET).

You could draw it clockwise / counter clockwise. This is a very cool dock, highly customizable. You could setup upto 20 docks, trigger shortcuts with a hotkey and run shortcuts with arguments. You may change the dock formation and even have the taskbar icons displayed. Very cool stuff.

grass jelly drink
Learn something every day; I must admit I'd never heard of that.  I'll have to find some and try it.

In HK, you get it for desert with creamy milk.

Be careful with Orbit because last time I used it there was adware bundled in.

Are you sure about that? I checked the content of the .zip file (orbit0350full) and absolutely nada. However, the project is dead but the source code is available for download.
936
gHacks mentions Orbit and credits DC forum for the discovery. See Orbit provides a circle based menu for Windows.

Should've looked @ OldVersion  ;)

Claus Valca's post Taming AVG Free version 8 covers many issues about AVG 8. Make sure to read the comments as well. And a follow up post Simple thoughts on AVG Free v8 that's worth reading.

I'd like to see the distinction between those who have only heard of it and those who have actually tried it in the poll.

I am first  :D... I answered no, but if Apple Cider falls in this category... then it would be a big YES  :drinksmiley:.

I think this trend started in Japan a couple of years back (like many other weird stuff). Heard about fruit flavoured vinegar beverages but have'nt tried one yet.

Drinking yoghurt is available in North America and Europe, right?

and in Asia, the Middle-East...

Could it be The Quicksilver Radial Menu? Maybe Firefox Pie menu add-on?

Suggest you Google for pie / radial menu to try finding the apps name.

@Curt

This wiki should give you you an idea about software cracking. Now the UD offered for download through your supplied link is a cracked version (read pirated) and the link should be removed.
945
Even if UD was a decent product, I wouldn't use it because of the GUI, and the infamous NTFS "optimization" trick they charged cash for. Oh, and I'm not that great a fan of product names including the word "ultimate" :)

Same here. Also, as a rule of thumb, I never touch products of companies that have a POBox as a contact addres and no telephone number, use marketing tactics for people who were born yesterday etc.
946
- about the previous version, the one that is now free, well, we all followed the great shootout, didn't we:
UltimateDefrag is probably the closest program yet reviewed to being the "ultimate" defrag software, particularly if you're a power user. It gets a "Thumbs Up" rating in spite of its flaws.

-The Great Degfrag Shootout, XIII

Well, if choose to quote from a review, you'd better read it through and maybe quote the conclusion. To balance it out, here's another quote:

Unfortunately I will not be using UD because it failed my "torture test" and my "large files" test.

And another one:

My overall impression is that this program is sluggish and vulnerable to giving up when large file are involved.

Oh, and here's the most recent review - UltimateDefrag 2008 Debate: I, which confirms earlier findings.
947
I merely linked to a fine article. I don't know what else may be going on at rapidlinks.

All the content of this " fine article" is taken from DiskTrix Website including the images. Badassbaz is distributing a cracked version. You should remove the link.
948
Thanks Lashiec. I somehow missed that thread. Looked into this further and I must say I could never trust these companies EVER (sorry had to use the Caps Lock  :P).

If you install ZA Free, you are presented with a a pre-checked option to install ZoneAlarm Spy Blocker.

2008-05-31_003359.jpg

You would click next, expecting an extra security feature, would'nt you? But look what you get when you launch your browser

2008-05-31_004258.jpg

Yup, ZoneAlarm SpyBlocker the Ask Toolbar! ZA is tricking users to install the Ask Toolbar.

As for Comodo, the Ask Toolbar is being installed under the guise of the Comodo SafeSurf toolbar. Worse, if you do an upgrade, you won't even have the opt-in option presented to you.
949
I find this odd development... It appears that Comodo, Webroot and ZoneLabs include\bundle as a default (pre-checked) opt-in of the Ask Toolbar and Search Assistant while other security products detect components of this toolbar. Details @ ZA Free/Webroot Products/Comodo/Ask Toolbar

What's your take on this? Would you still consider installing their products?
950
Just a reminder MerleOne... $7.5 to optimize XP NTFS Drive access : rip-off or not ?  ;)

Would you still deal with such a company?
