I have given more thought to a color scheme and I will probably add something that gives you the complimentary colors of a selected colors.  I have a source that talks about calculating this so I will just have to implement and figure out how to add into the interface.

What I'm thinking is adding a intellisense type drop down that will appear when hovered over a color in the color history...

You may want to download the latest version that I just uploaded (v2.5).

Whats New:
- Color History can be exported and imported.
- HEX codes can now be changed and affect the selected color
- Double-clicking the color in the history changes selected color

I may add some default color palettes but thats tough since I'm colorblind - feel free to submit some to me via email and I will consider adding a Palette Folder on the install in a future version.  Also, will look into the magnifying glass too

Enjoy and please keep submitting feedback - this is what makes it better...,

Why can't you get rid of the MS security alert?

There is an option that lets you control what MS will alert you about:
Control Panel -> Security Center -> Resources (left side) -> Change the way Security Center Alerts me

Does that remove it for you?

I thought of that and it may be something for v3.0.  Its would be simple enough to calculate a color scheme but being color-blind the testing would be murder for me.

Thanx for the suggestion.

Pixeur already includes a color history but I did not provide a method to save or recall it - this is what I will include in the next version...

Just wanted to let the group know that I released a new version of a popular color picker application (Pixeur).  I redesigned the interface to include a color selector since I found myself requiring this alot.

Its being released as donationware but includes no ads, nags, feature limits, or registration code.  Basically after you install it you have the full and complete version.

I would love to get some feedback on features that you would like added.

(one thing that has been added and not released yet is allowing the user to type HEX codes in and change the selected color.  Also, I'm thinking of adding an Import / Export color history feature).

Pixeur:

(I'm going to be heading out for a bit but will reply to all when I get back)

I spoke with him a few days back and he said it may be a couple more months before he has full access to an internet connection.

I don't know how anyone can be without the internet for that long - I can't even go a weekend let alone a month.

Musicially, you're my antithesis and I you :)

LOL.  Funny thing is most people are shocked that I listen to Rob Zombie (and similiar).  I don't think I come across like a typical fan...

I like the part where they conveniently charged your credit card.  It was very convenient for you wasn't it...

This is something that should be spread around so people know...

Blogging about it now....

Blog Entry

After further reading their TOS this seems to be a very sketchy thing.  You seem to be enrolled in a membership where CD's are sent to you every 5 weeks and credit card charged if not returned in 10days....

You should read the reviews on Amazon about Nero 7 - nothing good to say.  That stopped me from buying.  I am am sticking with the 6.x release - been happy with it and no problems.

Some very questionable application listed:

Best Note's application:

Not sure I agree with that.  Seems alot of the software in the list is his own personal software.  Makes the list very biased and unrealiable if you ask me...

I am so worried about losing data that I not only backup my system on a regular basis but store two copies (latest and prior) in a safety deposite box at the bank....

Depending on how critical your data is having a backup on-site may not be good enough.  Off-site backups are the only sure way to have a backup of your data if a fire or theft occurs.

A new version is being compiled based on findings from some of the beta testers.

The new version is even better and I am getting close to the final release.

General Software Discussion / Looking for a few beta testers
« Last post by Veign on December 12, 2005, 10:10 AM »
Just looking for a few beta testers for a new, major, release of some software.  The software will review all bookmarks or favorites in Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape and identify whether the links are valid...

Anyone interested can email me at (place Beta Test in the subject):
soft ware @ veig n.com
(remove spaces)

I just want a few people who can run the application and give me their point of view of the functionality, usability, and any bugs they might find.
