Living Room / Re: Apple: if we get you subscribers, we deserve a cut

Google takes a swipe at Apple's 30%:

The post implies it's free, but doesn't "Google Checkout" charge 10%? If so, that's still about 8% too much for me.-zridling (February 17, 2011, 06:00 AM)
Google One Pass is currently available for publishers in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the U.K. and the U.S.
One of the few pieces of paper I still have out on my desk the whole time is my regex crib sheet. I mean, I use them a lot, but dangit there are some things I still cannot remember without looking them up.-timns (February 16, 2011, 07:39 PM)
Can anyone compare EditPlus with EditPadPro please?
The features seem almost identical.-timns (February 16, 2011, 07:31 PM)
ha ha. I totally get that. Yeah, people swear by it who use it all the time. But to just dabble in it makes no sense. I was saying what the fuck a lot...I tried doing a regex thing yesterday...I don't get it at all.-superboyac (February 16, 2011, 07:16 PM)
RegEx is one of those things that this phrase desribes perfectly:

I agree! I like EditPlus also! I just tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and i was impressed. I can't put my finger on it yet, but it was nice. I tried doing a regex thing yesterday...I don't get it at all.I'm still sticking with PL/SQL Developer as the best option so far. What's my favorite thing about it? It's more responsive than the others. it just feels faster, like a good text editor. Actually, I'm ending up writing the queries in a text editor and pasting it into Developer because I prefer the highlighting and code folding features of most editors better than these integrated things.-superboyac (February 16, 2011, 03:29 PM)
Syntax highlighting is the absolute most important thing for me in a text editor. (Regular expressions are #2 by a tiny margin.) I find Editplus has the best for what I like.-Renegade (February 16, 2011, 07:12 PM)-superboyac (February 16, 2011, 07:16 PM)

Wasn't there a CSnack creating directories listed in a file? (no time to check right now)-Ath (February 16, 2011, 09:25 AM)
TOra looks interesting. And yes, it's an Oracle database. I still like PL/SQL so far.-superboyac (February 15, 2011, 03:56 PM)
"All we require is that, if a publisher is making a subscription offer outside of the app, the same (or better) offer be made inside the app, so that customers can easily subscribe with one-click right in the app."
I want to go creative with this, add more 4 more black bars and let this be visualizer.-mahesh2k (February 15, 2011, 08:44 AM)
There is also something unpleasantly ironic about the idea that google is going to start telling people that the way to get the best results from their search engine is to use their google branded browser in order to get rid of the junk in the google search engine..-mouser (February 15, 2011, 06:44 AM)
