Screenshot Captor / Quest: how to select all and copy to clipboard ?

Sometimes...
- i want to modify an shot
- copy all (shot + modifications) into the clipboard (ctrl+C)
- paste it into an other program (ctrl+V)
- back in SC i want to undo my modification or delete objects
- and do an second modification



But i get only the back images, the main shot, without all my objects to copy.


Solution...
First i had to "Objects | Flatten all objects" --- and copy than to the clipboard.

- Than i must select an other (or even itself) shot in the left list
- say "Abandon operation" ... to undo the flattern function
- than i can do my second modification

isen't there an other way ?
Maybe "Ctrl+A" for select all and auto-flattern ?
With following auto-un-flattern if i unselect all or click on an other modul ?



You see, often i don't want to always save my shots/modifications, but just modifiy and copy.

thanks for the shortcut report stefan, i took your advice (mostly)
and made ctrl+U be unselect, and ctrl+alt+S shortcut for
save new version, shift+alt+S for save region.

Ah yes, i missed "Save as..." in the File menu.
So i overseen that therefor my suggested shortcut "ctrl+shift+S" should be for.

I use Pre-release of version 2.03.05 :
Here are some suggestions

- File | Save and NewVersion -- Ctrl+Alt+S
- File | Save Region as New Image -- Ctrl+N Shift+Alt+S
- File | Save as... -- Ctrl+Shift+S
- Edit | Unselect ---  Ctrl+U



BTW: "Ctrl+N" is an default for "new file" (if you want to implement this)
more suggestions will come, i must working now

Hi

i like skrommels ColorTaskbar  >>tool.<<

I want to use such an function to
recognizes if one is logged in as
an special user, e.g. with admin rights.

So i would put this AdminColor.exe
into the startup folder of the users with admin accounts.

But..
i didn't want gradually colors
but instead an solid red color.

I don't can imaging if coloring the window title
to an red color is an good idea or the title is not readable anymore?

I want like to have an AdminColor.ahk
with the option to choose the RBG color
and to choose to color the tray and / or the window title.


Maybe there are more idea for this tool too?
e.g.
- diff colors for title and tray??
- maybe however the gradually colors??

Maybe one would want to wrote such an script?

Such little tools are very nifty.

My suggestions for the tray menu are this:

Start recording (so i must NOT press Ctrl+Fx to not interact with other apps)
Stop recording
Execute macro one time
Execute macro  repeatedly... (popup who ask me how often to execute)
Save macro...
Load macro...


--------------------------------------------

Start and Stop recording should wait for an trigger key
for NOT record the mouse way to the tray and back
(or maybe for such things like "bring the right window in front" too)

i.e.
If i press "Start recording" the macro-tool should wait
till i press e.g. the  s-key on the keyboard.
After the macro-tool recognizes that the user have pressed the s-key
it should start the recording.

And if i press the Break-key on my keyboard
the macro-tool should pause the recording
so i could go to the tray and stop the recording.
(or do other things and press an another key to reactivate the recording again)


--------------------------------------------------

During executing the macro
the macro-tool should recognizes
if the user pressed the ESC-key (maybe twice or three times)
and stop the macro immediately.

One idea,
if you don't unstill uninstall the old version,
you may have still the old "ScreenshotCaptor.ini"
where maybe this "ctrl+alt+s" -shortcuts still remains ?

So open the settings dialog
and reset all the shortcuts from the right side of the picture.


Or just rename (or delete) this old INI, Screenshot Captor will create a new one at the first start.
But than you have to set your hole settings (if there any) from the old version again.

In the newer versions of "Screenshot Captor" there are no "ctrl+alt+s" shortcuts by default anymore.
You can open the preferences and set your own hotkeys you better like.

It's all a matter of the size.
To better seperate the words while reading
in this tiny size i make each first char upper.
This is better for non english pros to spell.

And if the "Screenshot Captor" would be the bigger part
than the DonationCoder.com part would come to tiny.

All this is only meant for this tiny "Made with" clips.

Ahh,
and  the size is the reason too
why you also miss this "Made with..." part in this clip.

Either the clip would be to big with an readable size of the words
or in this size of the clip all the words would be to tiny
if there are a row with "Made with" too.

Maybe one of you would like to try to make such an clip with an professionaler app ?

Just an idea for discuss:

an feature to save the current selected area
(without the need to crop it first) would be nice.

Actual i must
- select an area
- crop this
- save as
- restore prior shot
- select an another area

Or miss i something ?

Maybe hold the Shift-Key and click on Save+
to get an new file wich contain the selected area
and called "Old file name sel001"
analog to the "Old file name ver001" feature.

So we could easily crop a few areas e.g. from an hole screen capture at once.
