Will they know the websites I visit? Will they know my username and password?

Any way to prevent it?

Thanks

is there any other option?

I want to create my own standalone programs that automate webpages and secure them with password so that the source won't be visible! and sell them!

as I can do with AutoHotKey for desktop automation programs!

I've done a lot of web automation in the past using Visual Studio. I don't know if that's an option for you. There are a few tricks that you need to know to get things smooth, but it does work.

how do you get VS to "see" a radio button or a text form in a website?

Nice one, Mouser!

Out of curiosity, it sounds like you knew of this chair before the request came in, but if not, what were your search terms and on what engine? (Search Term Optimization, you know... like SEO but aimed at people ;))

maybe *durable* folding chair

General Software Discussion / problem with win8 right click
« Last post by kalos on September 12, 2014, 05:37 PM »
hello

in win8, I right click on a button at the taskbar (that represents opened windows) and the resulting context menu, immediately animates and goes to the top of the screen, without leaving visible the 'close' button! and it appears less than it's full size!

this is a major annoyance that existed since I bought the pc with installed win8

any hint?

thanks!

nah, it's not that easy, you need to have experience of a forum that is live, populated by knowledgeable helpful people, etc

it's very hard to sell food and beat the prices of the supermarket.

you gotta find something very rare or of very high quality, but I doubt most people would bother try

hello!

I want to become a distributor/supplier/etc of a product/service that requires regular order of consumables from clients

Any idea?

Eg, do you know a good cheap factory that makes compatible inks? or any other idea?

Thanks!

no, I can easily reach this audience and offer my services/products

I also know they have money, but they wouldn't spend it to buy a new computer, because they don't know about computers and they don't use them apart from browsing 1-2 websites and writting/editing an MS Office file

they would easily give me 50 bucks to make their PC more responsive or easier to use (they are that ignorant about PCs) - given that I show them that it's trully more responsive - but they wouldn't give 1,000 bucks to buy a new one, it's an overkill

it's like with their car, they would buy a chip to decrease fuel consumption for 50 bucks but they wouldn't buy a new car with improved fuel consumption, it's an overkill as they do very few miles per annum

I could sell them RAM, if RAM trully improved their PC, but we all know it won't much, at least noticeable

I was thinking of installing a stripped down version of their Windows or something, would that have more impact?

Or anything else?

hello!

I have a fairly large target group of people who:
  • they don't know much about PCs
  • they have computers and their computers are necessary to them to do their job consisting of simple tasks
  • they have outdated OS, crappy hardware

can you suggest me please what services or products I can offer to them?
their need is to make their PC more responsive, etc, and their demands are very low (basic web browsing and MS Office)

I was thinking of installing to their PC a Windows version that will be extremely light, in order to significantly show them that the lags and reezings are gone
Or install a script or program that will help towards that direction

Or maybe you have other suggestions? Sell them hardware? How? Anything else?

Thanks!

I edit a doc/docx/xls/xlsx file and I send it over email to another person
is he able to view the previous editions before I edit the file?

This is like the verbal equivalent of an Escher illustration :-/
 (see attachment in previous post)

why?

Check this MS article: http://office.micros...ent-HA001219021.aspx

(Found on first Google hit, btw.)

thanks
