No soapbox or lecture. I promise.  ;D

I'd sure as Hell hope there's no soapbox~! You know how they make soap, right?

SOAP IS MURDER~! SOAP IS MURDER~! SOAP IS MURDER~!

:D

(Sorry - just couldn't resist that one either~! :D )

But it makes me wonder... Just how clean are these PETA people? :P

I'm not surprised you felt the need to bite your tongue after reading that one Renegade.

The man does make an excellent case - "Some experts knew about this beforehand, also the media has been a bit emotive in it's reporting. These two things prove Apple did nothing wrong"

Flawless logic indeed.

It's just typical, irrational fanboy nonsense. He's so radically disconnected from reality... Sigh...  :-\

http://www.independe...n--asia-2274247.html

A baby girl starves to death as her parents raise a virtual child online; a boy scolded for excessive gaming kills his mother then commits suicide - technology addiction is taking a toll in Asia.

Nutty.

Ahem... Why don't you all just shut up, then bend over and take it...

To paraphrase this:

http://www.itwire.co...one-tracking-beat-up

So, where are we now?  Of course there is the obligatory "foam-at-the-mouth" demand for a congressional enquiry (is there any other way those guys can plot to get re-elected?) along with a variety of ill-informed ratcheting-up of the rhetoric on the blogosphere.

But, all-in-all, I think this will slowly fade as people continue to recognise the importance and rely upon the apps that are based on this service.

Commentary redacted due to being overly obscene and profane...

I used to have multiple NICs for multiple Internet connections. One computer was WAN facing. It reduces the attack surface and protects computers on the LAN that have no direct access to the WAN except through the front-facing server. It's easy to setup and cheap.

A couple are getting on in their years, and are sitting out on the porch on a sunny afternoon.

The wife says to her husband, "I'm not happy. I'm getting old. My legs have varicose veins, my hair is gray, and I've got wrinkles everywhere. I started gaining weight a few years ago, and never lost any. I'm fat and my shoes even look a bit smaller now. I've not bought any nice clothes for a long time as they just don't make them in my size for older women."

The husband grunts, "Hm."

The wife says, "Well, say something nice to cheer me up!"

He responds, "Well, your eyesight is still good."

The second video there was unbelievable! I'm shocked that it's that bad.

And Alan Grayson was voted out? Good God! That's baffling.

I have nothing to say that is actually printable. Or maybe just 2 'V' words: Vengeance. Venezuela.

Sometimes that happens because my dpi is at 125%...

Yep, I also get that issue with the 120 DPI setting. It's surprising how often it still happens with all kinds of software.

Not really. There's so much pressure in software that things like being friendly to handicapped people often rates very low.

I have handicapped users that I've talked with, and I try to get things in there to make it easier, but at the end of the day, free, warez, crackz, competition... it all adds up. And makes it hard.

For major titles, sure. That's one story. But for the bulk of software? It's entirely different. Most software is written by smaller companies.

I'd go for Eclipse, and add the ADT (Android Development Tools), just like Google advises/suggests.

Yes -- Ath is right.

MonoDevelop is ONLY if you are doing C# development with "Mono for Android".

Eclipse is the way most people do mobile development. (Most as in most for pretty much all platforms.)

Many many moons ago I used to use inkjets, and used refills all the time with no problems. Ink. Syringe. Fun times! :)

I forget what kinds I had. I know I had a Canon... Not sure about any other brands though. It was a while ago.

I know people that swear by Epson though. A fellow I know managed to buy cases of cartridges for like a buck a piece. Not sure how. Perhaps an old out of date printer? I forget.

Should I retitle it?

C'mon guys! If you like it, please buy a license. That's how I put food on the table. You don't want to eat my lunch now, do you? Cut the poor boy some slack~! :D

All things considered, it's pretty cheap for what you get. It does a lot more than others and it's the same price or less. It's about dinner for 2 at a cheap restaurant.

If you don't decide to buy a license, make sure to tell lots of friends about GDT, but just don't tell them about the cracks. Maybe some of your buddies will help put food on my table! :D

Anyways, I hope people like it~!

wow. That's awkward... Yeah we love it, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of business from this torrent. Adobe actually *allows* us to download Photoshop (and other products) because it drums up business. (The poorer people get the cracked version, and use it the most. the richer people buy it (for a cool grand i might add) and don't really use it.)

Anyways... Everyone loves it.

Hahahaha~!

I only wish that I'd get more business from it. Food is expensive here~! :P

Glad to hear it!  I found it just yesterday on AlternativeTo when I was looking for Cameyo.  This is another free one like enigma that may, or may not do what you were looking at.  AlternativeTo has a few others in the category as well.  I personally was just seeing what was out there as an alternative to VMware ThinApp which I know is a great product, but rather expensive for individual use - like most VMware products.

Ummm...

You seem to have a little, tiny, miniscule, microscopic, tendency towards understatement... ;)

http://store.vmware....;rests=1303534979056

Starting at $6,050.00?

Ummm... I think I'll stop even looking at it...

:P :D

I've used Cameyo as well, but it's an end-user focused program, and not a developer-oriented one. There are significant drawbacks with it. If you're looking to deploy an application as a software author, Cameyo runs lower down the list of good options.

I've not tried the VMware one though. I should have a look.

I use a paid Flickr account:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryansmyth/

I'm happy with it, but I don't do a lot with it either.

There was a thread a while back about protecting photos, and Flickr does a reasonable job of that. I need to login to easily hotlink to them. (Sure, I could get around it, but whatever. Logging in is easy enough.)

The best things to do if you want to become "greener" is to consume less of everything

+1

That's something that simply drives me into a blood-thirsty rage. (Don't worry - no rant here.)

I cannot stand a bunch of pseudo-environmentalist wankers preaching nonsense about "recycling". There's a reason for:

  • REDUCE
  • Reuse
  • recycle

The consumer economy with manufacturers producing goods that are designed specifically to become useless quicker to force MORE CONSUMPTION is the epitome of hypocrisy.

The recycling industry itself is a joke. e.g. Why push grocers to use plastic bags that are not recyclable, when paper is a renewable and environmentally friendly resource (comparatively)?

I'm quite frankly sick of hearing excuses about "making the markets more efficient". That's horse s**t. No, I take that back... it's...

Potentially NSFW

Yes... that's from a small elephant...

To go on about efficiency is simply insanity. A few quick tidbits of sophistry and it's laid to waste. But as I said, no rant here. Just little elephant messes. :P :D

Haven't tried it myself, I'm still researching whether Mono isn't all evil or not.  :-\

It is evil. Utterly.

Mono's original source code can be found on pages 753-847 of the Necronomicon in the unexpurgated edition - not the Dee copy! It's since been discovered Wilbur Wateley was an elite coder who was working on something called Shoggoth 1.0 (in Mono) before he met his untimely end.

Their hand is ever at thy throat yet you see them not. - the Necromomicon

Mother protect us! Ïa! Ïa Shub Niggurath!  8) ;)

You shouldn't be talking like such~! Don't be surprised when you hear the rats, the rats in the walls...
