There's only a way to maximize to the screen where the mouse is.
See the EdgeGrid.grid file for an example of how to use it. You can find it in grid element 26.

Hi Gordhan!

Actually, I'm not the author of the plugin, thus, I don't have its source code.
Still, It works pretty well, I've attached the executable to this post ;)

I propose cody gets to Europe through Portugal since it's the closest country in Europe to the US :D
(eheh Carol :P)

ps: actually, probably it's less expensive to send a package from the US to the UK than to Portugal.

akp982: you have set your personal site in the forum to the spiceworks site.
Thus, I'm inclined to say you have some link to the site other than just a happy user who just found the software.
Please be honest when you post at DC, luring users into using your software is only going to get it bad reputation and probably a ban.

Hi Korbi!

I don't have windows 7 to test this, but I've used it under Vista Tablet and noticed the same problem.
I think the pen isn't identified as a mouse and thus GridMove can't work :(
Unfortunatelly, I have no idea how to sort this problem..

(the resolution problem can be sorted by clicking "reload" or "restart" on gridmove's menu each time you change resolution)

Hi Gordhan!

If I recall correctly, there's a GridMove plugin to do just that. Even though it doesn't work exactly as you are asking, I think it might serve you well.
I thought this was included in the default GridMove package, but apparently it is not.
Unfortunatelly, my laptop's hdd has died recently, and I have only the backups of GridMove's stuff at my parents'. I'll see if I can find that plugin ;)

I've been using linux for a few months now, so my tastes have changed a bit.
However, Opera and Eclipse are still my top choices, with Jajuk, Pidgin and Thunderbird on a close third :)

JGPaiva's GridMove and Ahk Tools / Re: Split monitor in four
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 21, 2009, 02:03 PM »
Well, GridMove helps you in placing 4 windows side-by-side on a monitor. I'm not exactly sure if that's what you need.

I've talked with mouser, the server is currently down but will be fixed soon ;)

Oh, I thought you had already installed GridMove :)
You need to download it from here: http://jgpaiva.dcmem...rs.com/gridmove.html

Unfortunatelly, something is wrong with the server, apparently the server is down.
I'll contact mouser, it should be fixed asap

Greg: doesn't the "4 part grid" solve what you're looking for?
Just select if from the "templates" menu in the tray icon ;)

Tomos, cmpm and paul: you don't need to move windows using win+g and then #. If you do win+#, you can move directly to the place you want. Much faster and easier :)
792
Tomos and cmpm: I suppose there was some other application using win+#, and gridmove was not able to capture the hotkeys..

I had already seen maxto, but didn't have time to post about it.
It's really really interesting, and I think it has potential for being better than gridmove. I know I'd use it.

However, it was quite unstable on my machine, crashing or not closing or something like that.

Anyways, as I've been trapped in real life lately (working on my final project), I'm currently using linux and can't use either :(

Hi elpresi!
Which GridMove are you running?

I added that option a few versions ago, but only on the .ini file.
Just go to your gridmove folder, open the GridMove.exe.ini file in notepad, and change "MButtonTimeout" to something higher. Save and reload GridMove and you're good to go ;)

ebennetthill: that's a really cool solution!

I tried to do something like that with ahk, but it didn't work correctly, the button (I was using a button instead of the bars) kept disappearing of appearing on the wrong window.

JGPaiva's GridMove and Ahk Tools / Re: how to replace numbers by letters
« Last post by jgpaiva on March 03, 2009, 12:54 PM »
Oh, I see what you mean.
It makes sense, but it's not possible to not use the numbers.
If you'd like, I could make it an option to use the F keys (win+F1 to move to the first cell), which would have the added benefit of allowing you to go to 12 cells.
However, at the moment, I don't have enough time to make it use all the other keys :(

General Software Discussion / Re: Map a Drive via SFTP
« Last post by jgpaiva on February 17, 2009, 07:15 PM »
Ok, today I found I really need something like this, I think.
Does anyone know any free/open software for windows that can map a drive letter to an sftp folder?

(@rover: I already use winscp for other stuff, but I need the mapping to be able to edit code remotelly)

ps: I found this thread while searching google. I guess I should have come here first :P
