Living Room / Re: Favourite youtube channels

This channel is very charming.. Tribal people tasting and reviewing foods from other countries:

The oldest guy is funny -- he is always a bit grumpy and compares the foods negatively to some mythical food from his country, or complains that the foods are ok but are mixed or prepared wrong :)

It's possible that with WinPcap installed, UrlSnooper won't see NPCap, which might otherwise pretend to be WinPCap.

I did a few more tweaks to convert more page resources to https on the forum.
Again, let me know if you spot anything unusual.

UrlSnooper / Re: url snooper2

Actually I just saw the WinPCap page talks about Npcap, which be installed and in WinPCap compatible mode.

And the Npcap page talks about Windows 10 specific stuff it solves, and says "WinPcap isn't supported on Windows 10"  -- which would explain why URL Snooper might not work.

So maybe you feel like seeing if you can get Npcap to work with UrlSnooper?  This sounds promissing:

https://nmap.org/npcap/

Download the installer from that page and choose WinPCap compatibility mode.

I will also check it out when I get a spare minute.

Let me know what you find!

If you download the portable version and unpack it into a new directory and run it, same result?
Have you installed the WinPCap driver that UrlSnooper needs?  It comes with it, but maybe try downloading the latest one from the WinPCap websiet? https://www.winpcap..../install/default.htm

There were 4 of us and no prizes.  :-[

Well that was quite an experience.. We had 300 hard core donationcoder members show up for an amazing debate.
And we gave away some great prizes -- two new cars and $500k in cash prizes.

I'm trying to make a change that will force https access to donationcoder for better security; let me know if you spot any oddities on the forum or website.
767
The meet and greet is tomorrow, 22 hrs away !

Here's how we are going to do it:
  • 1. Because there is a risk if I post the meeting info publically that we will get spammed or pranked, I will need to send everyone the link the meeting privately.
  • 2. Sign up on the new donationcoder ZOOM meeting mailing list: https://www.donation...ailing&ctrl=user
  • 3. I will open the meeting (or a different one) and hour early (3pm forum time) and leave it running in the background for people who want to test their connection and webcam/audio setup and just see how zoom works.

Bottom line -- join the zoom meeting mailing list if you want to join this meetting OR one in the future, so that you receive connection info for meetings.

So was there even a bug.

Yes.  Google continues to increase security stuff on Android, and it seems that some recent changes broke the location my code was trying to download the data files to during import.  The recent update fixes this.

Living Room / Mini Papercraft models of Retro Computers to Print and Assemble
« Last post by mouser on April 30, 2020, 08:17 PM »
This is truly wonderful.  A collection of downloadable print-and-assemble paper craft models of retro computers including the Apple II, the IBM PC, the TRS-80 Model 3, by Rocky Bergen.

These look wonderful -- you just download and print them and cut and assemble.  Love it.
