..................
and none of them worked.

can anyone help?
-HankFriedman (June 14, 2009, 12:42 AM)

have you tried the AutoHotkey forum someone there will sure help you and they are very good if someone like yourself have had a go using Autohotkey and can provide the problem in detail and the attempts made as well.
Give them a go then post your solution here when you are successful

Show hundredths of seconds:  Can you show the hundredths of seconds...for precision timing.

Most likely not, sorry! With manual starting and stopping, it doesn't seem to make sense to have such a high precision. I check the time every second only four times a second to keep the CPU usage low.

The Windows timer message is not very reliable. If the computer is busy doing other things, timer messages are sometimes dropped. My stopwatch will make up for it, since it doesn't just count seconds, but calculates the interval from the last timer tick. So in theory I could show the time with millisecond precision, but in practice it would be deceitful to do so, as the measure would not be that precise.

Could you perhaps create two versions one as it is and one with hundredths of seconds...for precision timing would suit me as well

Just a suggestion    btw nice clean interface with all those options it's just great looking

Site/Forum Features / Re: Feature Request: Copy Code
« Last post by nogojoe on May 01, 2009, 10:19 PM »
I guess you Coeluh are after something like they have at the AHK forums where they have the option to expand the code input window to show the full text of a multilined code.
I actually thought they did have an option at one stage to copy that code to the clipboard at AHK but it may have been on another sites forum.

it seems like they did had the 'copy code' feature but it wasn't working on all browsers (such as Firefox) and the idea is pretty useful.

I had the feeling it used to be there but I did a quick check before my original posting and to my surprise it wasn't there.

Thanks Mouser if you can implement those improvements I don't think the copy code feature will be much trouble here between browsers here as the AHK site is full on copy and re-posting code .
As long as you can implement it for Chrome I'll be happy

They can be bought here for a long time already....although the concept sounds excellent, I absolutely hate the way it "feels" when you're typing on them.

For me that is the primary reason for liking a keyboard or not.
I can see what you mean.
true the concept is good maybe they could have produced as an option a model with a little more depth(density underneath)to compensate the likes of those already used to a standard keyboard that normally has a raised profile .

I have just come across one of these keyboards in an internet cafe here in New Zealand and thought it was just great and worthy of a global mention.

I have no connection to the firm that produces and sells this product. Never knew it existed before yesterday
The possibilities of this product being a standard amongst schoolchildren and preschoolers looks immense.  Also for the outside environments.
It speaks for itself on the webpage .

I don't think it would be impossible just to have an input window that has code to include the options to (a) expand-collapse (b)copy to clipboard

The initial posting would only show one or two lines of code to save message space.
The benefit would be when there are updates amendments to the code with repetitive showing the original then the amended it will not obtrusive to the non interested.

Except it doesn't.

What I want is someting like this - icon overlaid on a folder icon

You would have to go to an icon editor and process your own icon to do that I haven't come across anything like you want .

There are a slew of programs out there that will let you customize your explorer folder icons. But I can't find any program that will easily let me create the icon that I want.  What I want is program that will let me select a folder icon and then select an icon from an exe and overlay the exe icon on the folder icon.

Try Icon any Folder I think it will do exactly what you want

In regards to the large jumps, I think we're running into the limitations of the standard slider control.  As for your second issue, you shouldn't have to left-click again on the thumb to set the position.  It should move to the new track position as soon as you release the thumb.  It does here, anyway.  Can anybody else confirm this?

I have had a play with the slider control and I get no response from using the mousewheel.(Not that I would ever use it)

The slider control works OK with me as long as you hold the mouse pointer right on it, slides back and forth giving the track time, no jumping back and forth as such as  apfel described.

The only time that happened was when I clicked the seekbar on either side of the control slider then it jumps about 54 seconds forward and back can't really see any need to be doing that though.

However it takes 3 clicks on the seekbar forward of the slider control to go from the start to the finish of a song there could be some use in doing that if you want a quick preview of a song.

Hi everyone, this is my first post - I like the site so I donated a bit of green to get started.

If I am asking this in the wrong place, please help me by letting me know.

I wonder if there is any shareware accounting or billing software that someone can recommend.

I really don't need much - a timer so I can keep track of the time I spend would be great, and some way to bill for that time, and record when I get paid.

Thanks!
- Jack

Have you tried an online service  such as Zoho Invoice

For a once only use, I thought it would be possible to have an openable/unopenable switch. Once it has been opened it records the fact and can't ever be opened again.

For a cycle, there would be say 10 pre-programmed passwords. Once each one had been used, the program would need the next to open. At the end of the 10 it could either terminate (like once only) or switch back to the first.

Why not set up a free Fastmail email address setup

with fastmail you can setup 100 onetime use login passwords along with your master password.

just email your data which you want the other person to have into that fastmail and give him one of the onetime use to access that account.

all the other person has to do is login ,access the data and logout you can stop the other person from from doing anything from within the fastmail account ( being an additional account set up just for this you wouldn't have much to access .

Next time you need to send more info just give them another of the 100 passwords.

Onced logged out the password is finished

v1.0.1 build 77

      matches. [Thanks, nogojoe]

thanks a lot for that skwire.

Working perfectly now      nice workaround of the problem  :D :D
I was beginning to think that the problems perhaps related to my comp or Cd drive

Trout picked up the data off the internet with the CD's I was having trouble with and one that it couldn't loaded up as it should without the internet data

Sorry i didn't get on to the real problem earlier but when you fixed the last state of the window on close down trout did to good of a job. I had maximised the programs windows to the fullest and was not being able to see the bottom taskbar   :wallbash:.

nice to see Skan from AHK in your credits He seems to be Mr Autohotkey from what I have read in their forum

Is build 80 going to include hotkey I mentioned earlier   ;)

1) You have "Allow internet access" checked.
2) You try a CD that doesn't have a freedb match (so it should default to generic titles).
3) You don't see the generic titles listed?  Or do you?

[/quote]

Hi skwire

The trouble I am having now is with  "allow internet access" enabled trout searches for the data
and comes up with this on the bottom taskbar

Match found for Disc IDf20b6d10  Track titles added .......  But there is nothing added!!!! blank window.

On some discs it loads the appropiate data almost instantly as it should.

On the above disc quoted with the internet access unchecked it instantly load the music files as Track 1 etc and Trout works as it should.

I uninstalled the previous version and installed the latest v 73

If you do have internet access checked, it will attempt to get artist/title information from freedb.org based on the CD disc ID.  If the information for that particular disc ID is not available on freedb.org, it will simply add the tracks generically as above.  Make sense?  Please let me know if it works out for you.  Thanks.

Hi again skwire
Just need a little further clarification.
the internet part is working ok getting the data etc and is playing the songs as it should be.

I need clarification on when Trout fails to locate the CD data of the internet does it automaticily load the songs as [D] CD Track 1 etc etc.   or do I have to manaully use file menu - add folder
At present that is what I am having to do and then I run into this problem over the files being only allowed to start from the beginning and playing straight through to the end with some of the controls having any no effect. the stop and start are ok but selecting a song lower in the list doesn't work and Trout keeps on reverting back to the 1st song being played.

Everything works perfectly when the data has been downloaded off the internet but the same can't be said with the CD that the internet can't supply the data

Just click and drag on the minibar's Trout icon.

2 Would it be possible to add to the hotkeys action "Play Audio CD in Drive D"
Sure, lemme see what I can do.  =]

That was my fault.  When I uploaded build 71, I noticed this issue and silently uploaded a build 72.  Make sure you're running build 72 in Help, About.  If not, grab the installer again.  My apologies.  If you want title information for CDs, you will need to check the box that app referenced.

Please let me know if it works out for you.  Thanks.

Hi skwire.

Possibly another bug.
I'm having trouble getting Trout to play from my CD player using your File Menu -Play audio CD in drive *.

If it can't load the full data full  off the CD (or does it get it from the internet ??)  it fails to load and I have to go to File Menu -Add folder to get it to load and then it only loads as Track01.cda etc.
then I start the songs off at track 1 and if I want select track 4  it won't let me it has to play track 1 and the only way to get to track 4 is to wait till its turn comes up.
I thought maybe the doubleclicking was causing the trouble and tried to select track 1 and using the up-down keys with enter but same still applies just plays track 1.
