To me it looks very compelling, like the designer captured something quite extraordinary in terms of creating an emotionally compelling world where it feels those creatures are alive and real.. I'm glad to hear the reviews are more positive than it seemed at first.

Do I have to connect each laptop to the KVM switch via both a USB and a HDMI cable? That's alot of cables!

I haven't used a KVM for a long time but:

Quick answer is yes.. All computers need to connect to the KVM with at least two cables, a video cable and at least one usb cable.  And then the KVM has a video cable connecting to your monitor and at least one usb cable connecting the mouse and keyboard, and possiblyo other usb devices like webcam.

I'm not sure how well webcam will be switchable, but it sounds like maybe youd need a (powered) hub for all your usb devices (keyboard, mouse, webcam) and just be connecting that to the KVM and switching which pc the hub connects to.

Some KVMs use their own software, I think many do not.  Some work better than others.  One way in which they differ is the maximum resolution supported -- so make sure the KVM you get can handle your max display resolutions.

It used to be that you could use the ctrl+alt+shift+L hotkey to bring LBC up if it was moved off screen by a monitor resolution change or something similar, but i don't know when that stopped working.
Let me check into it and remind myself of the commandline options and such..

LBC does automatically keep some backups, so the first thing might be to find these backups, in the directory where your launchbar is, and preserve them.

Assuming everything was coded well, and that you used a sufficiently strong master passphrase to encrypt your password collection.  But if you did not use a strong master password...

What's insane is all of these password managers are absolutely fanatical about convincing you to put your passwords on the web -- ostensibly so that you can sync to multiple devices, but perhaps more importantly so they can sell subscription software as a service regular fees.

Roboform has been pathological about forcing people to move to their roboform "everywhere" plan where your all of your sensitive password data is stored on their servers.  It's getting well past the stage of being ridiculous.

Just to clarify, the feature you are talking about on the quick capture bar of Screenshot Captor is the function to grab a screenshot from your webcam, which you can also trigger from the main Capture menu of Screenshot Captor (near the bottom).  It doesn't record video just brings up a preview window showing the webcam view and a button you can press to capture an image from it.  I can see how it would be a suprise if you triggered it not knowing what it did!

Well it's a bit of a hidden function -- I really should add a menu item that will also do it, so at least people can find the function in the menus.
The blend mode stuff is weird.

In Screenshot Captor you can bring up an image and then drag another image on top of it -- which will bring up some choices from SC asking you how you want to "combine" them.  One option is to add the dropped image as a "resizable" object on top.
Give it a try and let me know if it does what you want.

jrBrowserTimer: A little browser source timer, which has some ugly messy code but is capable of counting up or counting down or counting down to a date, with some flexible options that make it somewhat useful for showing a timer in your OBS livestreams.
I use it in all of my livestreams.

You can configure the alignment, whether counting up or down or to a target date and time, and the message to show when it reaches it's target.

It's a browser source not a script, so you can just add as many of these as you want to different scenes and easily configure it just by changing the local file url, and performs well with very little cpu use.
Not much control over the look of it, so might be nice if anyone wants to add some options to tweak the look (change font of countdown-end message, etc.)

Plugin for OBS that automatically creates timestamp files for your recordings or streams, detecting chapter markers when you switch between certain scenes (or recording all scene transitions), or when you hit a configurable hotkey.  Adjusts timestamp offsets depending on whether you are streaming or recording, live or not.

Delayed Fade:

Exactly the same as the built-in fade transition, but delays performing the fade transition for a second or two, to give you time to move your hand off the button that triggered the transition.  Useful at start of recordings or when coming back from breaks so have a moment to compose yourself before the transition to you begins.
