Very cool. Thank you. How can I change the link colour on the outer part? I.e. the Links right at the top and the board tree?

This Swiss German text works: Der Schöppelimunggi u der Houderebäseler si einischt schpät am Abe, wo scho der Schibützu durs Gochlimoos pfoderet het, über s Batzmättere Heigisch im Erpfetli zueglüffe u hei nang na gschtigelet u gschigöggelet, das me z Gotts Bäri hätt chönne meine, si sige nanger scheich.

:D

(yeah, I know, it's not funny for most of the dc community. It's the beginning of a fun story written by a famous Swiss comedian that sounds very Swiss German, but most of the words don't actually mean anything)

On the SMF feature list it says SMF supports (per user) themes. Would that be hard to implement on donationcoder? I wouldn't mind some change once in a while ;)

the site can sometimes be frustrating -- occasionally severely so.

Mouser, although certainly not the problem in this case, maybe for some users it would be helpful to have certain relevant parts of the site in their native language, e.g. parts like how to get a license key or the donations part and such. I'm sure you'd have no trouble finding enough volunteers to translate these parts for you should you want to do that.

Tried it with GooglePlus, the only fscript-based plugin I have currently installed.

I first get a message box telling me: "Impossible to create in Plugins/FScript2/proxy"
and after that another one with: "Impossible to copy some GooglePlus.fscript.dll in Plugins/FScript2/proxy"

They are being shown alternately, endlessly, i.e. I need to kill FARR to stop it. After restarting FARR, they were being shown once each and then FARR seemed to run ok. GooglePlus obviously didn't work though.

I understand that you know about this issue. But I think you and mouser should try to find a way to solve this problem so that FScript2 works without the user having to make any changes on filesystem security settings.

I'm running Windows 7 with the default security settings.

Never used your product, nor am I a designer, but I've tried to use the Axialis Icon Editor when a special version of it was offered for free together with Visual Studio. I've un-installed it shortly after trying, even though I could have used it for free! It seemed just too complicated for the novice / casual icon designer. I'm always using IcoFX now if I have to do anything with icons, which is mostly converting other pic formats to .ico or doing simple modifications on icons.

I believe Consol (wrapper for cmd.exe) does that automatically.
That looks interesting. Thanks.

Yeah, I know about adjusting the buffer size. Just don't understand why cmd.exe can't do this under the hood when I resize its window.

Anyone knows why cmd.exe can't automatically adjust its window buffer size when I want to make its window bigger? Is there a technical reason for this?

I've seen this before, can't remember the product though (it was software). Didn't think bad about it, but that was obviously from a customer point of view.

The question is: why should someone who already owns your tool buy your competitor's tool (for whatever price)? The obvious thing I can think of is that he's not happy with yours. So if you think your tool is better than the competition, or offers something unique, I don't think you should be afraid of such an offer.

@mouser: Damn, you made a screen-cast of UpdateVersion. How cool is that  :-*. Thanks!

@worstje:
- Concerning verbose output, I'll see how easy that would be to implement.
- Getting rid of FileSize, ShortDescription and LongDescription should be easy: just open your local copy of UpdateVersion.xml and delete the <FileSize>, <ShortDescription> and <LongDescription> elements in the <Type>xml,rootnode,XML_DIZ_INFO</Type> target.

N.A.N.Y. 2011 / Re: NANY MUGs
« Last post by phitsc on January 07, 2011, 01:52 PM »
If there are 30 entries in the NANY, it means we spend about $600 on mugs each year (about $20 each; often more because people who participate in NANY multiple years can ask for something more elaborate than a mug).  Even if you got the tshirts to half price including shipping, it's a lot of money.
It is indeed. You don't have to send me a mug. I don't think I've earned one with my meagre contribution for this year's NANY. I'm going to buy the shirt though if you can come up with a cool one. 8)

If it's always the same file type you want to open with vim you could use ewemoa's Akete plugin.

Yeah, maybe oleaut32.dll isn't called oleaut32.dll in the 64bit version? Can you please check in your equivalent of C:\WINDOWS\system32 if there is an oleaut??.dll.

FARR Plugins and Aliases / Re: FARR plugin: FARR Windows Search 0.1.0

I was of the opinion that the oleaut32.dll error was caused by not actually having Windows Search installed.

I think Vista and 7 have Windows Search installed by default. So I guess (hope) you're running XP? If so, make sure to install Windows Search 4.0. You can grab that from here.

A solution for the FSubscript problem is in planning. See here.

Is that the unique visitor count for DC or the return visitors (or both) and is it just for the main site, not the forum. I'm just wondering as I must visit the DC forum about 50,000 times a day.
And are you from Japan, Pakistan or India? ;)

I find the demographics particularly interesting! Japan, Pakistan, India on places 2, 3 and 4.
