Not too much in the way of content or answering hard questions... so I'm pretty sure it was a staffer that he was dictating to.  But really cool, nonetheless.

If I had my way, SEO fscktards would be publicly tortured, they're ruining the interwebs.

+1

Only if they crucify the spammers first.

...and the lawyers, and the politicians.  And especially the lawyers turned politicians.

Congrats... but something strikes me odd... other than your name, there's no credit to you, i.e. link to your page, etc.  Is that just the way the site works?

I think most people underestimate Samsung right now.

Anyone who does is pretty stupid.  I mean, when someone has a whole government totally behind them (look up Chaebols) is a pretty big deal.  As bad as politics are in the US, they aren't *that* overt.

If Samsung tells Apple where to stick their contract, then
1) Samsung loses a lot more revenue in the long term
2) Samsung's word as a manufacturer becomes mud

It's to their benefit to keep that separation of producer vs. manufacturer in place.

(And that enemy of my enemy is my friend has been shown historically to be hilarious in a black comedy type manner...)

There is no innocent multi-billion company, none. However there is doing business and then there is abusing the system (be it patents or whatever)

That's what that link is about... Samsung is an abuser also.  Especially as even as much as we complain about the separation of corporate interests and politics in America, in South Korea, there is no separation.

Relevant:

The frenemy companies try to limit fallout.

And though I don't defend the case, nor the outcome, I will say that Samsung isn't the innocent here.

^ Doesn't that also go towards conflict of interest?  Why wouldn't the Samsung lawyers try to get rid of such a juror?

^ No different than any other contest.  If you get a large item, you have to pay gift taxes on it.  That's why many of these contestants on game shows end up in worse condition than when they went on- they have to pay taxes on a tangible item that they might not have the liquid funds to cover.

Does kickstarter accepts non-us or international gigs? If yes, then maybe I can push few ideas.

I know at one time they didn't which was the appeal of indiegogo.

I'm planning to also... for a couple of RPGs/Supplements.  But I'm taking a long view at successful and unsuccessful projects within that sphere.  If you're looking to do a board/card game, you might want to look at the list of games on Kickstarter and get similar information.

Some resources that I've found:

http://danielsolisblog.blogspot.com/ especially the following posts:

When I was a kid, other than breaking into the teachers files on the network, some typical piracy, and a tiny bit of fun phreaking, I really didn't do anything remotely like hacking. I was a pretty good kid. Not always sober, but good none-the-less. :D :P

That's about me... except for the phreaking was for the reason that the guy says in the article- access was sooooo expensive!  He even admits he wasn't really a hacker.  My friends on the other hand...

... and only 8 colors!

He only used 6 plus black for this ;)

Just quoting from the article, i.e.

Silva’s medium of choice is standard Bic ballpoint pens on paper and this particular portrait uses eight different colors, taking some 30 hours to complete.

It depended on what the crime was.  In the circle I was in, one guy was co-opted (he's a fervent white hat today), and another was quite paranoid after that to the extent of wiping fingerprints off of glasses.  He eventually was caught, and did some time for it (though he got a really sweet deal when he came out).  I wondered for a long time if because there wasn't the extent of knowledge on the government side at the time it actually paid more to get caught...

In the end, the success or failure of a movie depends on critical mass and the ability to hit a cross-section a combination of things, not the opinion of one particular person.  Even hitting that, it still doesn't allow for individual tastes.  It's sort of like that conversation we had on why people make new software.  I usually try to find a couple of critics that seem to grade and think the way that I do, then follow them.  It's better to me than some random cross section- whether it is critics or the general masses.
