If you own an Android you don't have to have given your name in the sense that you do when signing up for gmail or other service ... they have it and will use it
702
Look at it this way. Think Android phones but for Windows .... Desktop is rooted and metro is stock  :P

Good point about 'easier ways', thanks

"Destroyed" ;D

It is still the mainstream form of computing and will be for a long time. Macs still, yes still, occupy a small section of where most people go to buy computers and most people don't associate the Apple store with computers but with "gadgets".

Thanks for posting this.

I have a serious (may be dumb) question. We often hear about credit card/password info was not breached. what about sites like this that ask for name and address (to ship stuff). Isn't name and address (as a combo) may be even more valuable than a card that can be cancelled and/or has zero liability if used maliciously?

Living Room / Re: What Google Plus is all about

Google Plus, the company’s social network, is like a ghost town

First sentence being false makes me not want to read the rest. I have only ~200 friends and member of a handful of communities and there is lots going on.

Also, even if ignoring my previous sentence .... it may not be as big as facebook but nothing is.

General Software Discussion / Re: Continuing with XP
« Last post by rgdot on February 06, 2014, 01:37 PM »
Don't stay with XP on the basis that 'I am confident I can remain safe', I wouldn't recommend this course of action.
Even with fully patched systems (via MS and via thrid parties) malware gets through, without them ... just don't try.

There is more to MBAM than free and pro (which has always been 1 pc lifetime)? (for non-business users)

Never seen anything beside the 2...

Why? Doesn't LG make those Nexus phones?

Those companies like Samsung and even LG are not exactly happy at seeing cheaper smartphones being sold directly by Google, another company making a big investment directly via Google will only add to that view.

Things never change overnight but change is possible. I am almost tempted to call all these efforts lazy. The solution is to replace the regimes that make you want to develop stuff like this. Anybody who may be saying that it is impossible or unrealistic is, like I said, being lazy.

The people setting up and operating the likes of the NSA are still elected. There is no way change is impossible.

What you can do if you feel a website has been incorrectly categorized.

Ask your Help Desk or IT administrator to change a website's category (they can override the Websense category). You can also suggest that Websense researchers reevaluate a categorization by e-mailing [email protected].
713
How I can get in on this?  ;D

Seriously though, good deal, in my opinion for even OneNote alone
714
What did I just read??? (actually only read half of it, may be the rest is great but I guess I will never know  :-\  )
715
If other countries follow this model the internet will die, I have no doubt the US will find a sufficient (whatever that may mean) market for those $5 extras but a major portion of the rest of the world will not. So if CNN is happy to participate in a $5 extra scheme for premium content that someone will be able to see for free, not illegally but because of market conditions, in India then so be it.
716
Well let's just say delivery and production/content are distinct and only one entity can force it to remain that way.
717
Should I say something basement worthy?  :P

Hi Jaex, thanks for posting here, I was about to reply to the email but wanted to check here to see if any other thoughts were posted.
Please check for a reply in a bit (from the time of this post).

Wanted to add another 1.5c here too, but my thoughts on the subject won't be coherent enough to matter.

Thanks everybody, it is still up but I haven't replied to the email nor really decided personally. Leaning towards just removing the review text but leaving a note in its place.
