Ok.. Unfortunately, facebook looks awful in Opera (I don't know why, but it doesn't use the same fonts firefox uses).
Thus.. I'm back to firefox! :)

ps: I'm using opera in linux, in windows I don't recall having this kind of trouble

Hi moranacus!
If you've got 20$ in DC and send them to some other member, he'll get 20$.

However, when he cashes out, paypal takes its fee, which causes him to get less than 20$. (I don't exactly know paypal rates, but I'm sure someone else can help on that)

Notice that DC does not take any cut from the 20$ you send to someone.

Yay, one of he bugs I found most annoying in opera on linux was fixed in 10!
Let's give this a whirl, see if I can start using opera again ;)

UrlSnooper / Re: url snooper is terminated!

Try doing this: change urlsnooper's executable name to something else. If the video player tries to detect urlsnooper by process name, it won't find it anymore ;)

Here's a new one!

name of badge: uk
Small Image: uk_16.png
Large image: uk_64.png
Inhabitant of the United Kingdom

Mouser: maybe we should change 'portugal' to 'pt', to use always the shorter name?

 ;D Cool!
May I suggest something? Maybe removing the frame and making the musical note larger would make it look better in 16x16 ;)

I found an interesting icon for musicians: http://commons.wikim...roche_hampe_haut.svg
However, it's licensed under creativecommons attribution license, I think we may use it, but I'm not sure if adding a reference on this thread is considered "attibution".

Actually, I'm not sure but I think it's the same image.. :)
I got this one from wikipedia, I wouldn't be surprised if they used that icon set.
Glad you found it, I knew it existed, but couldn't remember what to search for!

So, maybe we should make a few more?
Which ones would you guys consider important?

I've been there.. You will know something is wrong when you try to hit ctrl-z after making a mistake while writing something with pen and paper. I'm way past that point already ;)

Yep, you were. You only have to write the name of the badge, one per line ;)

I don't think anyone in this topic entered a religious war... I only see constructive criticism ;)

Yay, now that was fast! Thanks mouser ;)

I've just made a minor update to the small flag, so that it gets horizontally aligned with the other badges:

Ok, so the Portugal badge is done.
Here's the complete info:

url: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portugal
one word label: Portugal
one line title: Inhabitant of Portugal
longer description: This is a badge for those that inhabit (or have inhabited) at that small beautiful country on the western end of Europe, Portugal.
small image: Icons-flag-pt.png
large image:

And here's the non-lobotomy version of tux: NewTux_64x64.png

My suggestion for linux long description:
This is a badge for those that suffer without Screenshot Captor, Find and Run Robot, fSekrit and all of skrommel's goodies but at least can compile their own kernel

ps: I really like how eclipse formats code down to spaces in function calls, between the 'if' and the condition, between the left and right side of an attribution, etc etc... It's great to have all your code respecting the same norm, makes it much easier to understand :D
693
Single-line if statements without brackets are just evil..
The only way I can stand those is in this form:
Code: C [Select]
  1. if (statement)  //single line of code

being that if it has an else case, I go back to
Code: C [Select]
  1. if (statement){
  2.   // single line
  3. } else {
  4.   //single line
  5. }

Actually, to be fair I don't really do this, but eclipse corrects it for me! It's really useful because it makes it easier to see errors (if something got the wrong formating, I did something wrong :P).

Poor BC, all these farewells to the members after so much fun must be a bit saddening.
Good thing he has this board to remember his travels ;)

Oh, I guess I must have missed a few spaces due to the overlapping :)
I'll test it when I'm at home with my larger monitor ;)

Cool grid, shift3r!

On my computer it looks like a mess (because I'm currently working only on the laptop, at 1280x800), however I can see how well organized it is for large screens!
I think it only needs some 1/3 and 2/3 spaces, I find those very useful (browser on the 2/3 and IM on 1/3 ;) ).

Carol you can't imagine how jealous I am of you!
You live in such a beautiful place!

Thanks a lot for the photos, I'm sure baby cody had loads of fun with you!

I just noticed he has a new bow-tie. He stole it from Nudone, right?

Code: C [Select]
  1. if (statement){
  2. // multiple lines of code here
  3. } else {
  4. // multiple lines of code here
  5. }
That's the form I prefer. I do change the style depending on the language/environment I'm coding for,though. I think it's important not to get too attached to a coding style. It's important to respect the code style other expect to see, being stubborn won't help anyone.

On what you asked, I think the correct form would be

Code: C [Select]
  1. if (statement)
  2. {
  3. // multiple lines of code here
  4. }
  5. else
  6. {
  7. // multiple lines of code here
  8. }
  9. if (another statement)
  10. {
  11. //lines here
  12. }

or you'd have to write the previous code like this to respect the form you mentioned:
Code: C [Select]
  1. if (statement)
  2. {
  3. // multiple lines of code here
  4. } else
  5. {
  6. // multiple lines of code here
  7. } if (another statement)
  8. {
  9. //lines here
  10. }
That just looks weird :)

I did some retouching on the previous 16x16, and I think the contrast is a bit better now, what do you think?
