I think PortableApps.com is working on the next version of their launcher thingy that will update their apps. Not sure how far out it is though.
EDIT: It's in beta which you can try out here:

It doesn't matter whose launcher you would use for portable apss, Liberkey or PortableApps, they will install stuff by default you may not want.-techidave (September 08, 2010, 05:47 AM)
Doesn't work for me at all. Tried it in Firefox and in Chrome. I enter my address, it loads, I click Play Film, and nothing happens. HTML 5 is awesome!...

Didn't work on my birthplace address either, which is odd, given I can find it all day on Google Maps/street view. I keyed in my current address and bingo. If you haven't seen it, it's merely a clever presentation using video, maps, and a person running down the street to get to your address, and then it pans up and outward (all to music).-zridling (September 08, 2010, 06:11 PM)

So they showed me the street where I grew up. Yawn again. In spite of my giving them the exact address, they didn't even get to the correct side of the street.-cyberdiva (September 07, 2010, 05:51 PM)

Too bad it seems to be a result of user error.

I would say over-zealous web-designers make website suck, and flash seems to be the tool of their choice.-Eóin (September 07, 2010, 01:19 AM)
@Deozaan
I just checked in Chrome/Firefox and it loads and renders as expected. Anyone else see an issue?-Veign (September 05, 2010, 08:22 AM)
Found out from my boss that you log into the *OS* with your Google account. What's up with that?-Ehtyar (November 25, 2009, 11:55 PM)
You can run ChromeOS from a usb stick now. Boss tried it this morning and had two total system freezes in 10 mins.-Ehtyar (November 25, 2009, 08:59 PM)

... multitouch has been available in Linux from at least 2007 (yes even before windows) and synaptics touchpad multi-touch from even before that. It was integrated into the kernel before Windows 7 was ever released and always had much more extensibility.
I know the title could be misleading but if you actually read the article you would find that Canonical (company behind Ubuntu) was simply making a new multitouch software interface (as in new way to make the user experience better) and to set standards.

That sounds like SparkleShare's goal, but it's still in its early stages.That looks like an amazing thing and I'm really itching to try it. Thanks!-jaden (September 03, 2010, 03:16 PM)-superboyac (September 03, 2010, 03:19 PM)
