DC Member Programs and Projects / Re: blogcpp: Static blogging in C++17
« Last post by Tuxman on December 23, 2017, 11:11 AM »
I released version 6, introducing plug-ins.

My GNU/Linux tester has sadly decided to use Hugo instead (which is better than BlogC++, admittedly). Maybe I'll find a new one some day.

Update: The Android version is postponed until some time in 2018, I probably won't do it in Java.

Yes. (All of it, except:

It seems that Gowser uses Internet Explorer.

^ this depends on the OS. Gowser's GUI is wrapped over whatever is native.)

NANY 2018 Entry Information

Application Name UnClouder
Version 0.2
Short Description Replaces "the Cloud" marketing speech on websites you visit to correctly describe potential security issues.
Web Page http://mozilla.tuxproject.de/unclouder
Download Link https://addons.mozil...fox/addon/unclouder/
System Requirements
  • Firefox 57 or higher
Version History
  • 0.1: Initial release
  • 0.2: Grammar fixes, (virtual) DOM fixes
Author mouser  :P (just in case anything breaks)

One more? Fuck yeah!

This little side-project of mine is my first approach at a content script (formerly known as "userscript") for Firefox's WebExtension thingy. It basically grew as a playfield while preparing ymarks development, I just had the time to finish it.

Features:

If you visit a German or English website talking about "the Cloud" bullshit, this extension will replace that bullshit by "other people's computers" so you can easily see why the bullshit is bullshit.

Portability issues:

  • I only added two languages for now. I am lazy.
  • The UnClouder uses Firefox's "CLD2" language detector. Addendum: Chrome et al. support that too, but the messaging infrastructure seems to work differently. If anyone of you needs a Chrome/Vivaldi/... version, let me know that it might be worth the effort.

Enjoy or whatever.

The one big change seem to be the ribbons. Not worth it for me.

I uploaded a first Chrome extension to the ymarks site. Enjoy or don't.
Totally untested.

Note that Firefox's special folders are probably different from Chrome's. You might run into some weirdness yet.

The 5T version was not yet available when I checked. Or was it?
Continued quick charging is probably not the best idea since it will kill your battery over a long time. Use a simple charger when you can.

I'll totally get a OnePlus 5T as soon as possible. They officially support custom ROMs.  :-*

Compatibility my ass. I started writing a separate Chrome extension now.  :-\
State of things: Chrome does not give a fuck.

I'll work on it.

Working on Chrome support, I - at least - closed the last server TODO. The server seems to compile fine on FreeBSD.  :)

Technically, every single automatic bot you want to run needs to be checked by the Twitter Bots team unless you want to violate their ToS.

I switched to the superb Tweetings Twitter client two days ago. It has three killer features:

  • You can edit your tweets.
  • You get real push notifications over Google Cloud Sync instead of requiring the official Twitter app to be installed like (e.g.) Flamingo does.
  • New: You can hide long tweets with more than 140 characters.

Recommended.

I updated the .exe. No more visible server window.
You'll have to exit the server with the "quit server" button from within the extension now.  8)

I'll document that in the README in the repo.

Ah, lovely.  8)

In this case: You're doing it wrong.  :-[
You were never meant to "visit" the localhost page - that's just the backend.
I should probably add some kind of "informational HTML page" here.

The log looks as if it works. (I'll probably remove debug output some time later.)

That looks correct, minus the fucked-up layout, but that's entirely my fault. Hmm.
Anything in your error console?

I don't really care about Firefox at all anymore, it just came handy for my plans to make a portable extension.  :)
I develop on Fx Developer Edition (because about:debugging is nice for this). Currently, Fx Dev 57 beta 14.

It is: It currently requires Firefox 57. I can't really be sure that the APIs I access are available in earlier versions.  :-[
AFAIK your 56 will be gone in two weeks, probably earlier.

I pushed a version with Fx56 compat... I honestly don't know if it throws errors for you.
(IIRC, bookmark separators are unsupported before Fx57 beta 13.)
