I know you said multi-tool, but to be more explicit about a few tools that many don't think about until its too late - window breaker, seatbelt cutter, and pry bar.

Don't forget the acetylene torch in case you have to burn your way out!  :)

Ok you are right what is left is to try.
Size >700G
Now to figure out how to do it safely.
because it is 2 disks and saving both is >1.8 tera
So may be i will buy a new 2 tera hd back up and try

That is a pretty good chunk.  :)
I used to have USB 3.0 docking stations with 1 TB WD Black bare drives and a small stack of plastic drawers for my media files.  Trouble is the HD used for back up gets too big to back that up.  One little mistake and you get the drive not recognized dialog of death.  It's very disappointing.  :)

This browser is very responsive.  But some things never change.  Even though it has moved from the old Opera innards to chrome based, the favicons still do not work.  They have gotten worse.  The only bookmarks that show favicons are non-folder bookmarks on the bookmarks bar.  All the others just show a black shadow.  If it is a folder the black shadow is in the shape of a folder.  If it is a single bookmark the black shadow is in the shape of a page.  Vivaldi is the same thing.  Really weird.

There is no Xmarks support so I can't even try to upload/download sync it in and see if I get lucky.  Dang!

Edit:  OK.  After deleting all bookmarks and importing from Firefox instead of chrome, when I open all bookmarks in a folder in the bookmarks bar, the favicons fill in.  It is a pain to do it manually but I haven't found a "check all bookmarks" type of extension for opera.  I'll get there eventually.  :)

Edit2:  I missed the obvious.  The SlimJet Favicons file was over twice the size of the Opera one.  I renamed the Opera one to Favicons.bak and copied the SlimJet Favicons file.  Bingo!  All filled in.  :)

MilesAhead I finally got to my freecomander and found it is on FOLDERS only not on DISK.
A lot of work to sync 2 FULL DISKS.
Back to starting point.
Thanks
P.S it has a delete function which frighten me

Just navigate to the root folder on each side.  For instance E:\ and G:\
and select the check box to recurse into subfolders.

How big are the USB drives?

This is pretty snappy.  It seems to like to use Number of Tabs + 2 processes.

I found out the "easy" way to import Fast Dial was just to Select All in Fast Dial imported bookmarks folder, then go to My Folders and paste.  After that it is a matter of getting a thumbnail instead of a tile.  Most of them hitting the Heart will put the thumbnail on the dial.  But not always.  Why it fails on some is mysterious.  :)

But at least now I have them in the order to which I am habituated.  :)

Maybe you can help me with one other thing?  I decided to install only for myself rather than USB.  No matter what I do I cannot get more than 5 dials across in Speed Dial.  I even tried the Download Chrome Extensions extension to put in Fast Dial as I have that in both FF and SlimJet chrome.  It doesn't work(meaning the chrome extensions hang on install.)  I bump the max columns to 11, whatever in the Speed Dial that comes as default.  Five dial columns is it.  Pretty strange.  :)

If you have changed it in Opera advanced settings in browser sidebar and it is still doing that then perhaps it is something messing with it, as when I change it there it seems to rework it for the new selection.

Ok.  Thanks for the info.  :)

Edit: I found a note that zooming out with Control - hotkey lets it use more columns.  Too easy.  I never would have figured it out.  :)

The stable 40.x release has the VPN now:

http://www.opera.com...in-opera-browser-40/

I am waiting for the Portable version before trying it.  Mainly because I have legacy Opera 12.18 64 bit installed.  With the portable if I don't like it I can just delete the folder(most likely.)

If you go into the options of the download I believe it has a "Stand-alone installation (USB)" option as seen below...

[ Invalid Attachment ]

I hate it when they fake me out like that.  :)
Thanks.

Edit: I am a bit confused now.  Your screen shot shows "invalid attachment"

Never mind.  I see it now.  :)

It's funny to see what looks like the slow reaction of the others who are trying to film the birds. Maybe it's just the camera angle, but to me it looks like most of the people trying to take video/photos are not tracking the birds fast enough as they fly.

Anytime I see slo-mo like that I involuntarily look for David Carradine.  :)

Removed Firefox Hello

Admittedly, it's not a feature I ever really got the chance to use, but I liked the idea of it. I'm kind of sad to see it go.

I removed that and the Pocket.  Also I downgraded to 42.0.  That seems to be the last one where there is no hesitation filling in the bookmark toolbar folder icons.  Not as snappy as it once was but the delay from double click to usability is down to 7 or 8 seconds.  Much less annoying.

So far it seems I can run most of my AddOns if I use version 40.03.  I think Theme Font and Size Changer messes it up with some newer release.  The bookmarks toolbar folders are delayed coming up in 49.0 but not in 40.03 with the same version of the AddOn running.

Ninite shows the new release also now:

https://ninite.com/

The check for new version thing in Firefox often misfires.  It seems to work most of the time in Cyberfox.  But sometimes it takes you to the wrong build.  Intel instead of AMD.

Softpedia and FileHippo both show it as Firefox 49.0 stable.  No changelog though:

http://www.softpedia...-Firefox-Final.shtml

Edit: I upgraded to the x86 49.0 from 48.02 and no, it does not load any faster, at least by eyeball.  Still seems to take almost a minute from double click to being able to type into the address bar.  :(

strange, on this machine, Firefox 47.0 says it's up-to-date. And it opens quite promptly (could that be one of your add-ons that's slowing you Ff down?)

Hi.  I just spent the last half hour or so going through them.  It does not seem to be one culprit.  I had to disable 4 or 5.  It does seem to come up and load Fast Dial pretty well now.  There is just a slight hesitation before I can open a menu.  But the caret goes right into the Address Bar.  I'll run it this way for a time and see how it goes.  The thing is I had most all of these running and I don't remember it going south until the last couple of versions.  Maybe I should try downgrading to 39.01 or something.  :)

I'll take a snapshot first so I should be able to get it back to here if things get messed around.  :)  Thanks for the suggestion.

At about 1:54 that one owl was like "oh your cell phone is more interesting than me, huh?" and taps the kid on the head with his wings  ;D

I am not into ornithology.  But it is amusing to watch some of the birds here.  I do not know the name of the breed and there are too many to search to find the image.  It is a small gray bird that looks like it is wearing a bow tie.  It is very pompous and I tell people they are Ambassadors reincarnated.

One of the amusing behaviors is when extremely hungry they will look you right in the eye and smack their beak on the ground.  It is as clear a demand for food as speaking..  There is one who is sort of the Boss of the Block.  He is always doing the hopping charge motion to shoo the other pigeons from his territory.  But the sparrows outsmart him.  The pigeon tries to shoo the sparrow away from his morsel.  The sparrow hops around in a circle and the pigeon follows threatening with his beak.  When the tail end of the pigeon is pointed towards the food the sparrow completes the circle at a higher rate of speed, snaps up the treat, and flies away.  :)

I never realized just how strobe like the motion of the sparrow is.  The movement starts and stops so suddenly that I swear if I had a strobe flashing it would appear motionless.  There must be some predator thwarted by this motion but I do not know what it would be.

Hmm, it could use that $6Million Man soundtrack.  :D

Just the other day there was an owl very anxious to buy something in the campus bookstore.  I tried to tell him it was Sunday and the store was closed.  But he kept banging his head into the glass window and flapping his wings.  Once he noticed the prices though he flew away in a hurry.  :)

My "Make Batch Files" tool acts like a GUI wrapper for CLI, including complicated commands. I can give you a free key in exchange for a review, if you are interested.

Out of curiosity can you give details on the "free endless trial?"  My guess would be the version downloaded works without support or upgrades?  But I don't see it spelled out anywhere.

Since I was this far in I decided to "install" the PortableApps version and placed the help file in the specified subfolder.  The help file does come up.

As a test of the Sync I set the "left" folder to drive E: and the "right" folder to a USB I use to back up the E: partition.. just iso images, data files, downloads etc..

The E: partition has roughly 31,000 some odd files in 304 folders.  The FreeCommander XE compare including subfolders shows them all as "=" which is correct since I just synced them with DSynchronize a couple of days ago.

I feel confident that the synchronize code is likely the same as in the previous version of FreeCommaner or based on it.  So I doubt there are any major bugs.  Since I am doing this sync job on a regular basis I may as well use FreeCommander XE to do it.  :)

MilesAhead   This is exactly what i want. Sync BOTH WAYS.
As with the others programs they have a delete function included in the sync process
which frighten me. I NEVER WANT TO DELETE ANY FILE.
I need either update or add BUT never delete.

This installer has the help file:
http://freecommander.com/en/downloads/

make sure to get the one on the bottom for 32 bit with help file included.  I cannot find the one for the PortableApps version.  I guess when you decide to go portable you can copy the FreeCommander.chm from this installation, then uninstall.  Whew.. why the gyrations I don't know.  Edit: I guess I was a bit flustered by this time and did not notice there are help files in various languages a bit further down on the page.   :-[

Now I can uninstall the installed one and try setting up the portable one again.  :)
Edit ends.  :)

I have used the previous version of FreeCommander written in Delphi for many years.  I do not remember getting burned on a sync.  It is very intuitive to use.  On this version there seems to be no button on the Toolbar for it.  But in Folder Menu you can click Syncronize or use Alt s hotkey.  There may be a way to make a button for the toolbar.  I hope so because I used the sync in FreeCommander a lot.

A good idea may be to copy your USB flash drives to folders on the HD before you sync the first time.  A program like TeraCopy may do it a bit faster than Windows drag and drop depending how large the USB drives are.  But then you will have a way to undo things if something weird happens.

As for the Hebrew filenames I was never very knowledgeable about Unicode and code pages etc..

As Shades has pointed out it is a good idea to have a sync with preview.  Especially in your case where you intend to sync in both directions.  I would recommend FreeCommander XE since FreeCommander has always had an excellent sync with 2 way preview with each operation in the preview deselectable.  However it still has the hassle of chasing around to get the .chm help file.  I do not understand why this has gone on for so many years.  It is not like bandwidth is back in the early 1990s anymore.

But if curious you can find FreeCommander XE on PortableApps.com.  Where you can find the help file that goes with it I have not been able to ascertain after 15 minutes of searching.  :(

There's always Robocopy: How to use robocopy in Windows for backup and sync like rsync in Linux

Also there is RichCopy

It is MS employee written software and I do not think it is developed anymore.  But it is multi-threaded and copy has several conditions that may be invoked.  One being the source file is an update of the target.

I seldom use it.  But it can be handy for special situations.

I have been using DSynchronize from here:
http://dimio.altervista.org/eng/

It is portable.  I have stayed with v. 2.31.9 as newer versions have changed the settings format and added features not applicable to my needs.  The latest version may in fact be better but it ain't broke so...

By default it should be set to one way synch from source to destination overwriting destination if source is newer.  If the USB is large you may need a larger scale program.  Or it could be that my Laptop has only 4 GB ram.  But when syncing the last time a drive with 77 GB it seemed to crash after successful completion of the sync.  Perhaps the new versions have fixed this bug.  But it only happened once so it may have been a fluke.

Very simple interface.  Click a folder for source and destination.  In your case it would be the root folders of the USB drives.
