Excellent! I finally can get this off my chest:

We should find a better forum software than SMF. Their code is apparently very very solid, but I do not like their license model.

The whole bailout thing is not realistic.

Why give money to people who have proven they do not know how to handle it?

it's a good thing our multi-touch console at the c-base looks like a table: its users won't suffer from a gorilla arm. It's also easy to clean, the surface is quite scratch-resistant.

Since their tech support is vastly superior to their product, shouldn't they turn things around and give the game away for free and then charge for the support?

I think people would be happy to pay for a good quality "product".

And maybe we could buy these books at a local bookstore too. Amazon's big enough without our help.

Maybe we could even strike a deal and get discounts through the DC discount program we have for software?

I like this idea, because I think books are easier to read than online tutorials.

This whole "business of fear" and "buying security" is ridiculous.

A completely different solution: maybe you find your stations on http://filtermusic.net/ where you get direct links to the streams. Radios are sorted by genre.

Oh I hear ya! Those popups make me furious! And then they make you click so they go away only to open a new window or tab with that same click!

I don't think you will see any ads, I have had this at 100 all the time and never noticed any form of ad.

I think our light shines brighter without ads anyway (if you would forgive the metaphor  ;) )

That makes me think about this automatic update feature...

Maybe the proposed updates by the authors need to be checked as carefully their initial submission when they first put it on AMO.

can you put these in a javascript file which is included when you load the page? Anything you type on the firebug console can be put in a script as well.

However, I do not know how to set up breakpoints from the console of firebug...
