As I've posted about elsewhere, I am in the process of putting together a youtube channel to review (cooperative) board games with a friend.

Neither of us are artistically inclined, and we were wondering if anyone had any experience with hiring someone to make a logo, video intro animation, and/or a little musical intro, etc.

Anyone have any experience with sites where they can hire someone for such a thing?  Any advice?

Maybe if you could cover/wrap the LEDs with some thin fabric or something to diffuse the light

I can dim the led strip lights and change their color.. maybe we can find a better setting.  I can definitely see those lights being one of those things that some people like and some don't..

My latest project, a custom board game table top for recording youtube board game videos:




Maple rails, with a 3' x 4' center playing area, inset about 2.5" deep, with a recess to hide mat edges.  The bottom is hard wood veneered plywood (cherry).  I could have used standard plywood for the bottom as I can't imagine ever playing on it without a mat, but I happened to have a good full sheet of the cherry veneered plywood so I used that, and finished everything as if it were going to be seen.

I used my "normal" finishing method, which I swear by, and think I have described above: Analine dyes followed by 6 or so coats of Arm-R-Seal semi-gloss, followed by 2 coats of Arm-R-Seal satin, about 8 hours apart each coat, sanded lightly 300grit between coats.  Takes lots of time but its smooth as silk and almost foolproof.

Back in 2012 I wrote about my love of the Mafia1 and Mafia2 computer games.  Now in 2020 they went back and brought the original Mafia game up to 2020 graphics and audio standards, and re-recorded all the dialog, etc. 
Can't wait to return to this game.  Highly recommended.

Rewriting the 2xl simulator is definitely needed since browsers are all dropping support for flash.  The alternative would be to rewrite it for mobile platform (java for android).. but if it can be done with html5, that's the way to go.
If we can find someone with some experience with handling audio files in html5 that would be great.. If I have to I can learn it myself, but if there's someone else ready to tackle the project even better!

You can also use the Override Filename text box at the bottom- it will save the image to your standard location with the new image name.  You don't have to add the extension- it will do it for you.

What Wraith said above I think is exactly what you want.  It was made to handle the exact situation you describe, allow you to quickly name the screenshot and then just hit enter.

You can also do some tweaks to make the process even quicker:


With these settings you can just start typing the desired name of the screenshot as soon as that post-capture dialog shows, and then hit enter.

I have noticed such things can happen if a monitor disconnects or turns off.  Have you notice anything that precedes this behavior?

Can you try disabling this option and see if it makes a difference:

It should start up in the same state it was left.. Sometimes on reboot it can get confused.. Can you try turning on capture and exiting, and then starting the app again, and see if it starts capturing.
If not let me know and I will fix.
