+1

Check boxes, reallocation (sort of copy paste) would make such a tool pretty flexible and usable

Hundreds of Dropbox Passwords Leaked, Change Yours Now
A few hundred Dropbox usernames and passwords have leaked on Reddit, likely from a third-party app and possibly as part of a much larger breach. Time to change your passwords.

The leak, which contains hundreds of accounts with email addresses starting with the letter "b", come from an anonymous user taking Bitcoin donations for the full leak, which they claim consists of millions of accounts, according to The Next Web. We're not sure how old these credentials are or which third party app they came from, but no matter what, it's time to do the same old song and dance we're pretty used to by now

Thanks, you are right of course. I will eventually have to go the way you describe or just abandon the project altogether.

Not saying it is what you want or hope but Link Collector is pretty simple and decent http://www.portablebookmarkmanager.com/

As for ideas, the thing I need most these days is related to text, csv, mysql and conversions in such formats. If by chance anybody cares I will explain further but its probably impossible, impractical and/or solves my unique need only.

Since it is being mentioned, I could actually use a tool like that and one that does opposite too.

 :huh:

Instead of announcing the next version of its iconic operating system in front of a massive crowd of thousands, Microsoft chose an intimate venue with 50 or so reporters to launch the new Windows, which it's calling Windows 10. The company looks at the new number (yes, it skipped a number) as an indication of the direction it's taking with the OS;

I don't see how one can compare something that you turn your computer on with Office. I am pretty sure PC manufacturers will hate the idea of both starting Windows with a sub or their PCs coming with 1 or 2 year sub built in. I will be pretty surprised if MS can convince Dell and others this is good.

Update provided on Mint (bash 4.2-2Ubuntu2.3--->4.2-2Ubuntu2.5 ) fixes it as far as I can see, the tests quoted in this thread that showed vulnerable no longer do for me

Going on a tangent:

I, as many others, said early on that if G+ is aiming to reach Facebook level activity within a handful of years it is being delusional.

But it is by no means empty or deserted. 'Sharing with family' type updates is probably what keeps Facebook going more than any other. G+ was never going to just capture that market.

not really an over reaction but it may be seen as one
Soon there will be a "recommendation" to turn off all devices and just go out and talk personally? I don't think I am exaggerating when I say we are at a tipping point or cross roads and not just technologically speaking. A war there, a hack there, a criminal over there, a new enemy over in the other place, etc.

At some point humanity should decide if it wants to try a future ala Star Trek or just give up and just nuke each other to oblivion

Not exactly OP's criteria but .... something a bit different, I have installed WordPress locally, using P2 theme and a calendar plugin. Works well for me and I may stick to it. I can be a bit more detailed if anybody is interested  :)
