sfcables.com is a great place for (good cables cheap) stuff like that.

Adapter mentioned above: http://www.sfcable.c.../11W3-56800-6IN.html

As for archive, it only deletes them, not moves them to another folder/PST that I can back up.
The Outlook Archive function moves everything archived to Archive.pst. Which will be in the same location as the default Outlook.pst.

Cool thanks,

It's tempting to explore adding the same functionality to T-Clock - But I'm afraid I'd end up looking like a schmuck if I did.

To avoid getting teh DOS screen from popping up, in teh properties window you are in, simply change the "Run" from "Normal Window" to "Minimized". This will prevent that annoying DOS window from popping up in teh middle of what ever you are doing and keep the function in teh task bar so you do not see it

Just out of curiosity (not trying to be difficult, but...) if the command window is an issue, being that there's no requirement for console output, why compile the app as a CLI? A standard (WinMain) application can still be used from a command prompt, yet doesn't require (or load) one.

Just a thought.

Well... Good News/Bad News:

Good News; It installed and ran fine on my Windos 7 x64 desktop

Bad News; It could not resolve a point where the monitors were to be shut off.

It all seemed to be working fine values all had values with nothing flatlined but couldn't quite get there. However (in fair-ness) my speakers are slightly behind the monitors so it could be distorting the sound reflection a bit ... Laptops that do not have the speakers in the front may have issues with this also. It's just a theory (and I'm not a "Sound Guy").

Bummer really, this is a great idea - I may play with it more later.

*Shrug* It comes with Source Code - So I'm guessing everything is adjustable.

I'm thinking of trying it on my desktop.

Okay so in an attempt to get this thing back "on-track" There is now available a new build that has fixes for the Alarm Tab's crashing and other ill behavior.

I vaguely remember fiddling with some other stuff while romping through the weeds with this ]Expletive[ Time Sync fiasco. So some other stuff may (or may not) be changed/fixed/broken/updated/different ... I honestly do not recall.

Regarding the time Sync
After a truly insane amount of digging, testing, futzing, swearing, & screaming (bad stoic...) I have officially come to the conclusion that the time synchronization option is impossible to do without running the program with administrative rights. Which is to say that from here on-out,  Time Synchronization is not (nor will ever be) Officially supported in T-Clock.

That being said... UnOfficially, if anyone wants to (fully of their own accord) run the damn clock with administrative (which I strongly disapprove of) rights. There is a (completely undocumented...) command line option /SyncOpt that will open the following dialog:
T-Clock 2010 (Sync Options).jpg

This is to be construed as an EasterEgg it will only be documented here, in this post, and shall never be officially mentioned in any documentation again. While all of the functions work, some require manual interaction (SNTP.log creation/permissions) - And never open the EE Time Sync Options Dialog and the Properties Dialog at the same time - It will crash. Beyond that it all works Hot keyed Time Syc with sound, message, & logging.

Is there, as explained, a possibility to add the week number Wm in first coloumn of the Calendar???
It would be great.

Hm... Well, the Calendar is on my To-Do list of things that need "help", so I'll definitely keep that in mind when I get to it.

Thank you for making this available!

FWIW, on my XP SP3 32-bit:
-HideIcons and -ShowIcons work but -ToggleIcons has no effect.
-HideAll and -ShowAll work but -ToggleAll has no effect.

I can confirm said (XP SP3) behavior here also.

Softpedia must be on some kind of a roll - They grabbed a bunch of my stuff too.

Must say it was nice of them to send the Emails saying what was added (and where) to their library so we know what is/was going on (many sites in the past haven't done that). Unfortunately none of my stuff is PAD filed because (most of it is crap) I never got around to it...(oops).

Perhaps not exactly what you've described (ie. "randomly" and "various sizes"), but Osiva will do 52 card pick up.

Good Luck.
What a strangely interesting little program - I have not a clue what to do with it - But I have a copy... ;)

Thanks!

Apple's limitations are by design and motivated purely by a lock-in business model. (And a healthy dose of paranoia on the part of 'he who shall remain nameless.' Typical behavior on the part of somebody who never mastered any coding or technical skill and therefor decided the only role left was to put himself in charge of the real talent.)

While I really do try to stay quiet in these Apple threads...I just had to applaud this one!!

@JavaJones:
I'll keep watching Wave and if anyone I work with has any enthusiasm for experimenting with it I'll gladly participate. But I don't have any such enthusiasm personally at this point.
What you said is pretty much the conclusion I had arrived at.

It's as though Wave is a really neat solution looking for a problem, or like the Onceler's "Thneed" in Dr Seuss' "The Lorax": "It's a scarf, it's a hat, it's a bicycle seat cover. A Thneed's a fine-something that all people need!" (or words to that effect).

I agree ... but am also at the same time rather frightened - :-\ - and have no real clue as to which order those two points go in...

As I recall, the Who were one of many groups inolved in the "Rock Opera" Tommy - So tehnically either answer would be correct.

Okay (seriously) ...Zoologists aside ... How many of the guys here would feel comfortable sharing the fruit bat BJ article with a female coworker?

Me no, because the content is way to easy to misinterpret, intent wise.

That's why most EULA's contain the line "We (the evil corp) reserve the right to update, modify, completely rewrite this agreement at any moment based entirely on our own whim.
-Stoic Joker (May 19, 2010, 01:43 PM)

But when they do it, don't they have to give you the chance to opt-out?
In a perfect world... :)

In ours it appears not, you have one shot to accept/reject the EULA and any changes/updates that follow. Which is why most people never read the silly things - They're long winded, god-awful boaring, and subject to change by the time you get to the end of the S.O.B.

General Software Discussion / Re: HP Officejet 8500 Driver Installation
« Last post by Stoic Joker on May 17, 2010, 12:46 PM »
The objective (near as I can tell) is to skip the BloatWare, so either basic or pro should give you what you want.

The EWS (Embedded Web Server) is just for configuring the printers settings remotely (which I like & do frequently) - it's not going to help you in the driver department. Each machine should get its own copy of the (basic print/fax) driver. Scanning, as in scan to computer (typically) only works of the printer is connectly directly (via USB) to the computer it is scanning to (a rather key point they never seem to mention in the brochure...).

General Software Discussion / Re: HP Officejet 8500 Driver Installation
« Last post by Stoic Joker on May 17, 2010, 09:29 AM »
Now I have read on different occasions that all of HP AIOs *require* the installation of the entire program suite on CD (incl. OCR etc.).
They don't *require* anything but the driver.

Does anybody know of a *tested* workaround for only installing the necessary driver components for network use, since I really dislike littering my HD with all this stuff?
There's no real standard layout (it's more mood driven I suspect) to their Driver CD's, but I have ripped the drivers loose for network installs a few times.

Other option is look for the advanced/network install options (ominous warnings are a good sign you're getting close) in the standard (autorun) installer. - I've seen several variations on how to get to it... -  There will (/should be) options to install only the basics there.
