I can't believe noone has mention Hover Zoom.

I just tried it. It was too annoying because it kept "previewing" the images at full resolution even when they were already being displayed at full resolution. I uninstalled it very quickly.

It's been another two weeks and Terraria is still on top for the most played in the past two weeks (of people on my friends list).

Terraria Lifetime 4 weeks.png

And after only a total of 4 weeks since release the game has made its way in to the top 15 games with most hours played (of people on my friends list).

It's a really fun game!

Found Deals and Discounts / Re: Angry Birds free for Chrome
« Last post by Deozaan on June 11, 2011, 11:59 PM »
Looks like that "extension" or "Chrome App" or whatever it's called is essentially just a shortcut to http://chrome.angrybirds.com/ so there's no benefit to installing it over having a shortcut.

It's simple economics.

The books are required, so they can price it as high as they want.

NECRO-THREAD REVIVAL!

The last post in this thread was from 2006!

My favorite Gadget that I don't own is a watch:

Pimpin' Ain't Easy SS by Pimp

I'm not fond of the brand/model name, but the watch itself is cool. It's cool because nobody knows how to tell time on it without studying it for a few minutes. So people could come up to me and ask what time it is and I'll just show them my watch and they'll be like "What the heck does that say?" and I'll be like "Hey baby, want to go to lunch sometime?" "Oh, that, it says 4:32pm."

(see attachment in previous post)
This one says 5:35 (click for larger image)

It's actually quite easy to tell the time with it, once you've figured it out, but I can only imagine what kind of a conversation starter it would be. There are also models with Gold watch/Red LEDs and Black watch/White LEDs.

I just found a clone of this $200+ watch that I've wanted since I found out about it over 10 years ago. Now it costs $10 on ThinkGeek:

The time in this photo is 1:39.

That's not just advice. That's also wisdom. ;D

What about e-books published in open formats that are DRM free?

Dragging and dropping files onto an iDevice? Is that even possible?

I am as ignorant about iAnything as I am about e-books, but doesn't Apple always brag about how they invented the GUI? Drag&drop shouldn't be missing in a gui. Or should it?

The only GUI I know of that Apple thinks shouldn't be missing is the iTunes GUI.
5263
Excuse my ignorance for I have yet to own an e-book reader or e-book collection of any sort, but why aren't we just dragging and dropping the e-books from the computer to the device? Am I missing something?

This is getting off topic from the main post quite a bit, but that link to Calibre made me decide to try it out and look into getting some more eBooks.

So what's the best eBook format in terms of compatibility/convertability? epub? mobi? kindle? prc?

I have some eBooks in 3-4 different formats because I didn't know which was best and I don't have an eReader device.

Don't know how you get those kindle edition prices. When I click those links I get shown considerably higher prices than the ones you list here, all of them higher than their respective paperback versions even

The price I see is also much higher. But then I realized that the BIG price on the page is for the paper edition. I look a little lower and it shows the lower priced Kindle edition. I'm in the USA, btw.

That is beautiful. Though in my opinion it's not hauntingly so. It's a bit too upbeat and jazzy to be haunting, IMO.

Kwoon's "I Lived on the Moon" is a good example of something I'd call hauntingly beautiful. (I saw you post both of these songs on your blog today, so I know you like love I Lived on the Moon as well.)

Either way, thanks for pointing this out and for the link to the album.

Deo, not sure if you realize this, but I am that homicidal, lying robot!

Yes I knew that. That's why I included the quote and didn't refer to you directly, but to your namesake. :)

A homicidal, pathological lying AI robot posted about this one in IRC: http://thetoshibatablet.com/

Loudly blaring Big Band music with no volume control! ...They should be shot, hacked, and then beaten to death in an Alley just for that. I hit the mute button on the page, and it un-muted itself at the end so I got to suffer the last blasted note of the sound track. Their marketing department should be sterilized immediately.

Sorry, I didn't know. I had headphones plugged in when I viewed the site, but didn't have the headphones on. So I didn't hear anything.

Last-second edit: If anyone has a referral code that they want to use or anything like that, I'll use that. I'm all for more free space.

Nice work.

I personally don't see myself using something like this (because I'm happy with Steam as my game manager) so I don't know if my feedback matters, but I don't like the Ribbon and the huge icons in it. Seems like a huge waste of space to me.

These days displays are going for widescreen, so it makes more sense to have a toolbar on the side where there's extra space than take up vertical real estate with huge icons in a Ribbon-style interface. Especially in a program where there could potentially be a long list of games. Wouldn't you want to be able to see as many as possible at a time?

Anyway, that's my 40 cents.  :D

One interesting(?) blurb there... source code isn't available until its out of beta.  I don't think I've heard of anyone doing that before...

I've heard of people doing that, but I didn't know you were allowed to host your project on a site like sourceforge without having your source available...
