By using that app more and more and understand things better, i found out that the second wish is kind already integrated but limited to your Name.
Then behind #channel a red bubble with amount of missed text lines appear.
Normal way the app handle regular new missed messages is that its #channel now displayed bold, app has got no good contrast so i do not recoqnize something, if the bubble solution can be adopted for regular messages, that would be great.

I attached to issue tracker an long existing entry with no replay.
And yes, i am overstrained on my own, in hope someone might know what to do i've requested this.

If it helps, i could show with Delphi Code what i like to have implemented, but porting code to that used and adding at correct location, whoa, i am scared.

Hello gifted coders here on DC,

i would like to request somethink hopefully usefull for the masses.
I cannot patch/compile source on my own, i have no idea about that used language (Electron app framework).

I have two wishes that could be very usefull for windows users,
a notification area icon that got different overlays to quick report status,
a minimize to tray and not to taskbar like it is now.
With Status i mean, like a blue dot = connected, white dot = someone wrote in a room, orange = someone whispered or named you, red = disconnected

The second feature, in room listings, i would like to have a counter added that display missed text.
If you are in room #foobar and in room #barfoo, #barfoo is currently visible, i do not see anywhere if someone wrote new stuff in #foobar

Me hopes someone can help because authors do not react and the app itself is very cool

If still needed, i could create a GUI with a Listview (where you can drop files in), two editlines (where you put original and new text in), some radiobuttons to choose between modes and finally a [GO] button.

Program will only do its job if MS-Word is installed (Com/Ole usage)

by reading Rules, actual gameplay is different. If interested why, click on that link and click on "scoring".
a gameboard is required to have it done correct (multiple word hits).

What i suggest, add more input lines, so we can enter words there that hit each other, calculation for words you have, just add them alltogether as final result.

Is your current Revo 3 "lifetime edition", hmmm how to say, crippled? I mean not working anymore?
Technical support is always given for registered users.

If new features are added in Revo 4 that you cant live any longer without having them, its just fair to pay the company or look for an alternate.

For Opera there exist a "Policy Control" Plug wich let me choose some defaults, my google results page never looked that clear before, and no more "you have to agree to google policy" windows that are just raised because of cookie.
"FlagCookies" Plugin to have control on cookies that i allow. (i admid i could live without this)
"EditThisCookie" Plugin waits to let me edit cookies for whatever page i am on. (i admid i could live without this)

Maby those plugins are avail for your Browsers aswell.

Word Databases are often a few megabyte in size, no matter if linked within .exe or as external file.

But okay, will peek into source to get answer.

Delphi non-Vcl would also end with a small 30kb .exe file thats being able to display an edit line and a label.
C++ would do it even more smaller i guess.

But no matter of what galactic compiler you use, word database size stay same.

Maybe you should remove .exe from the list of supported attachment formats, if it is a problem. I was fooled by this list.

Problem was not the extension, problem was that you pressed on "insert attachment" so it is embedded in html Message, since html can not "display/render" anything with .exe it was invisible but still archived on dc as it is reachable now on post #1.

Can you explain a bit your program how it works?
I havent looked yet, due small size i wonder how you calculate legitime words and wich languages will it support.

On freenode, it is easy: You can have voice (+, the flag is "v"), be an operator (@, includes voice, the flag is "o") or a channel owner (which you would know).

Thank you for voice hint, by reading IRC commands, i ended up here "/mode #donationcoder +v KodeZwerg" with red "You're not a channel operator (#donationcoder)" answer.
I guess i cant do anything on my own, or any advice what i should do from point "connected to server -> joined room"?

ATM i am more than helpless. I keep getting - Cannot send to nick/channel (#donationcoder), whatever i type.
I am in nettalk client in room #donationcoder, a ChanServ whispered me on entering, at that point i cant do anything.
By looking connected People, i see that there are Admins with @ symbol, Users with + sign and me where just name is shown.

Do i need to register somewhere else to be able to actually write something?

That sound plausible, still a bit confusing if you start with given server and nothing happen, just a "failed to connect".
Your "chat." prefix works for me very good, it chooses during connect another server, at least i can connect.
Now i need to figure out how i can send a message in that room, registered to that network i am.

@Ath, his post looks like there is something added, but he put it on html, i guess DC-Forum can not "display" that attachment but since its in html, it is not shown as a downloadable attachment.
"Displayable" attachments for html are images, they will not be shown as downloadable content instead they are embedded in html, whats a cool feature is.

Thats why i suggested that he removes that line that will exclude content from attachment and put it on html.

I hope i am correct and understandable.

Hello fellas,

today i've tried to use DC-Chat feature, was unsuccessful, Browser (https) always close the chat window.
So i've tried installing IRC Client (nettalk i've picked), entered "freenode.net" as server on port "6667".
Tried with and without UTF-8 encoding, but cannot build up a connection to server "freenode.net".

So my question, is that server running at all and does your channel still exist?
