Yeah it was requested in this topic right here, and answered also.

other then windows movie maker not letting you export to a different format, would you use it? if so, you can just use a converter, my my personal favorite is Internet Video Converter. You can just do all your editing in wmm, and then convert it with internet video converter.
(note: internet video converter isn't just for internet videos, though it has an option to download videos from sites like youtube, and convert them)

not that I know of, it might have to do with adware or something on my computer, because it started right after I got finished scanning and removing a couple of adware files.

General Software Discussion / screen saver file association messed up
« Last post by nite_monkey on August 27, 2007, 08:05 PM »
I've been recently getting a file association change alert for the screen saver (.scr) file extension.
http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/1920/scrkr2.jpg

I would like to know, why I am getting this, and what is trying to steal/change my screen saver file association. If you have any idea, please let me know, because until I hit yes, it will probably keep popping up, and it is getting annoying having that pop up like every five minutes.

Living Room / Re: Where'd my video memory go?
« Last post by nite_monkey on August 27, 2007, 03:47 PM »
Don't quote me on this, but what I would say is you have an integrated graphics card, or a graphics card that shares your system's memory. That is what I gathered from what you have listed there. Someone else might be able to tell you exactly what the deal is.

edit: reading this I gathered that your graphics card is indeed integrated, so it shares your system's memory, so I think that is what your problem is.

« Last post by nite_monkey on August 22, 2007, 05:45 PM »
as soon as I get a new hard drive, I will come up with some sort of organization method that works for me. ;D
Yeah, right! :P
yeah, I will most likely keep slapping my files in random locations like I have for ever.

well right now I just slap everything randomly on the desktop, the all user documents folder, or the all user start menu, but as soon as I get a new hard drive, I will come up with some sort of organization method that works for me. ;D

Living Room / Re: mouse messed up, please help
« Last post by nite_monkey on August 16, 2007, 08:57 PM »
I tried different batteries, and it still didn't work right untill I moved the mouse and receiver to where they could see each other. I like logitech products, and I like microsoft hardware (mostly because they just buy the hardware and put their name on it), I have a wired logitech mouse, and it works perfectly, and I have a logitech webcam, and it works perfectly also.

Well I thought about that, but I tried moving the receiver right next to my mouse, and it seemed to fix the problem, so I am thinking that I just picked a low grade keyboard/mouse combo, because that is all I could afford. So I am thinking that when I need to buy another one, I will wait until I have some more cash and get a better one.

Living Room / mouse messed up, please help
« Last post by nite_monkey on August 16, 2007, 05:38 PM »
Ok, so recently my mouse has started messing up. I'm thinking something is wrong with the mouse itself, because I have a different mouse, and the problem doesn't happen with it. So anyways, with my messed up mouse, sometimes when I left click on something, the mouse acts as if I didn't even push the button, and sometimes when ever I left click the mouse acts as if I am holding down the button, but I am not holding it down. It is very annoying, and I can't update the drivers for it, to see if that will work, because the only drivers I can get are the ones that came with the mouse, because when I goto Logitech's website, it says my mouse wasn't shipped with any software, and that it uses the drivers that windows assigns it. I thought that was hilarious, because It most certainty does come with software/drivers, the box even says, "this package contains: CD with software, comfort guidelines and user's guide". So I was wondering if anyone could help me out here, because I would like to be able to use my mouse without it messing up on me, and I don't want to use the other mouse, because it isn't wireless, and wired mice tend to get tangled up in all the other cables I have on my computer, and then you have to jerk on the mouse to get it to come untangled, and then you end up pulling out another cable in the process, and then when you try to use that item, it doesn't work.

edit: ok, can mice read words on the screen? Right after I made this post, I moved the receiver down right beside my mouse and tested the mouse again, and now it is working. Another question, how well does IR cordless mice work through wood, because I have the receiver on top of my desk, and my mouse down in a drawer, because if I put it on top of my desk, it is too high, because my chair is too low, and then after using it for a while, my arm starts to hurt, so putting the mouse down in a drawer, it is lower, so my arm is above my hand, and I am a lot more comfortable. (I hope I am not being too confusing here, sorry if I am.)

« Last post by nite_monkey on August 09, 2007, 05:12 PM »
not exactly what your wanting, but there is Meta Launcher. To get what your wanting, you would have to use something like Meta Launcher and just completely change the start menu.

Developer's Corner / Re: Do you use a good office chair when programming?
« Last post by nite_monkey on August 09, 2007, 02:05 PM »
im using a crappy wood chair with boards stuffed with a thin strip of foam covered in cloth being passed off as cushions, and to make things worse, the chair is to low, and the desk is to high, so I want something that is more comfortable, and higher off the ground.

app makes a very good point there, I would come up with something other than a usb drive. I would use something like this, only you might do a little more research, that was just the first thing I looked at when I typed in child id into google, you or someone else might be able to come up with something that is safer, and a good choice other than a usb drive, though that is a pretty good idea, I wish I had thought of that.

I don't use desktop theme software, MS's windows already burns up a crap load of resources, I don't need desktop theme software using up more, I just patch my uxtheme.dll and then google msstyles, and there is a great site that is like the first or second site, and it has a ton of msstyle themes to choose from that uses MS's Os instead of 3rd party software, but that is just my opinion, with a lot of ram and a really good cpu, you could probably achieve the same thing with software other than the Os.

nah, building your own computer can be enjoyed more in that, you can pick out the exact parts you want, and end up making a computer that is several times better than one you buy that is pre-built.

I've use Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 for a while and it's not too bad I've had better experience with it than I have with others. I haven't had to correct as many words with this program than with others.

hey skrommel, I love your moveinavtivewindow program, but can you also make it to where when you hold down the hot key, you can either click and drag the window, or scroll the window up or down? That would make it alot better. Thanks.

Also note that you need to go back and check your cpu, I just clicked the link, and they no longer have the cpu you have listed.
