How can I not try a utility named Splat?
Yeah, don't hang around here if you don't—it's either SPLAT or split!

It's nice to see one here  ;)

Just had a quick play with the new version (nearly said 'it' but IainB might have caught me out).
Didn't manage to break anything so far, contrary to real life.

Well it could be asked on first run, same thing.
That would work, forgot about the limitations. Still, it gave Ath the chance to throw the works into a wrench  ;)

New version is up with better drag+drop.

Do you folks think its important to start the new user off with some pre-made initial entries? Or leave it blank on first start?
Yes, but preferably make it an option at installation.

I think these would be great for programming and I'd very much like to have a pair.
That's what they said about pyjamas!

I am working on a basic code framework that is perfectly suited for making PBOL android.  Whether I get to it in time for NANY 2015 is still unknown, but yeah I think PBOL android is one of the test apps I will make.
Never mind that, it's time for Find And(roid) Run Robot!

When reading the subject line my mind expected to see
"Worm's neurons mapped, simulating a politician."  ;)
But… but… politicians move blindly forward whereas even a worm can turn.

I have nothing technical to contribute but, FWIW, I have it running. On my set-up it appears to affect none of Adobe CS, MS-Office 2007, WordPerfect, games, browsers, nor a host of other software. It might well be detrimental to the performance my system but I'm unaware of it, which is good enough for me.
(In case it's useful to know, Win 8.1-64, 12 GB RAM., Intel Core i7-980, SSDs) HTH.

Just a note of caution.

A few years back I decided to save money by using non-Canon ink.
I bought from one of the 'better' suppliers (I don't want to mention any names as I don't want a supplier blamed for what might be a one-in-a-thousand event).
First set was fine.
Second set was fine.
Third set screwed up the printer to the point where it was useless.

So, for me, potential savings were far outweighed by replacement equipment cost.

0.11.6

is better at selecting within the entries, even after editing.

of 33 shortcuts to URLs I was unable to drag-drop any. Should I be using the same method (of shift-click-drag)? Scratch that, it works fine.
I need to pay more attention  :-[

skwire suggested a hot key to call up the interface. FWIW, I'd prefer a small drop target to do this. I could make that happen using AHK but it'd be nice to have it built in.

This appears to be fixed if I add a new entry but not if I edit an existing one.
Same here.

Be nice if
  • there were a drop target
  • it were possible to drag-drop shortcuts

Have you considered my tool WinButtons? (and probably ask for some specific enhancements?)
It's excellent. I was able to put application-aware custom panels for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere onto a 10" MIMO touch screen for a friend who has bad arthritis and finds constant fiddling with mouse/menu/hotkey stuff increasingly difficult. The panel improved his life more than a little. Since the usual gear engaged in my brain is reverse, it's remarkable that this was possible, and a testament to Ath's skill.

Ath's willingness to help is impressive!

Thanks, Ath!

Toggle of the display of the add dialog for the new text drag and drop operations implemented and it uses/defaults to whichever group of the entry you are hovering over.

Spare parts are readily available.  Just consult the cat-a-log.
So, to get things going, just give your cat a list.
