Description
At times in the past, I've had some upload issues with my home internet connection. To help show my ISP that the issue was with their peering, and not my equipment, I had written a quick'n'dirty script which ran speedtests to various Speedtest.net servers all over the world.  sSpeedtest replaces that script, and is a Speedtest.net GUI application which allows you to build a list of Speedtest.net servers and easily run speedtests on all of them.

Usage
Installation
Download the zip file and extract its contents into a new folder.  Run sSpeedtest.exe.

Uninstallation
Exit the application and delete the folder you unzipped it to.  No changes are made to the registry.

I took a look at this one as well, thanks, but it doesn't appear to work for locations outside Germany?  Maybe I missed something?

Hope that helps to offer at least two alternatives... or even implement both and change by click.

So here's my fantasy: I open up an app that tracks all my hotkey uses across devices.  It's got them split up by the app I use them in, sorted by frequency of use (in that app), a reference to where they're defined, and an editable description field for what I once thought they did.

Unfortunately, Windows does not have a mechanism to get this data.  The only thing your described application can do is test each combination of hotkey and see if it's in use by something.  Also, this applies to global hotkeys only -- not per-app hotkeys (unless they're set as global).  Tranglos, a DonationCoder member, wrote Ethervane ActiveHotkeys to do at least that.   Unfortunately, his site no longer exists, but you can get the app from the Internet Archive here:

There's no need to extract the icon as this is done via hidden "desktop.ini" files within the folder in question.  Here's a sample:

sWeather is one of the few apps I wrote for myself, as opposed to a coding request.  I still use it daily, so I plan to make it work with one of the APIs out there.

I'm not sure if this is of any value but OpenWeatherMap.org appears free for the sort of volumes I imagine sweather generates. Apologies if I've accidentally repeated a previous suggestion.

I'm using v1.8.2b1 on a Win10 Pro machine. I remember a year or two ago Yahoo changed their API and sWeather stopped pulling data. I don't know if the API has changed again, but the data hasn't changed for two cities for the past two days. I have exited and relaunched sWeather multiple times and I have also rebooted the PC a few times. Still not updating.

Yahoo! are shutting down their free weather API, which sWeather uses for its data. Unless I find another free weather API to use, sWeather will stop working. The problem is that all the free ones I've researched are extremely limited in 1) number of API hits per day and/or 2) the weather data that the free tier offers.  I already pay out of pocket yearly for a few other APIs for some of my others apps, so I'm not relishing the idea of paying for yet another one.

Description
Add battery percentage to window titlebar text.  Also adds a battery icon to the system tray to show battery life.

Features
  • Currently, it updates every fifteen seconds (will be made configurable at some point).
  • A plus in front of the battery glyph (+🔋) shows that you're charging (plugged in) while a minus (-🔋) shows that you're discharging (not plugged in).
  • Exiting from the tray icon should clean up the title bar text.
  • Not all title bars are modifiable, so some windows won't show the battery percentage information.
  • Windows that constantly update their title bar text, like some text editors, will remove the battery info. However, the fifteen second timer will bring it back.

Planned Features
  • Configurable refresh timer.
  • Auto-start with Windows option.
